Royce is a minor antagonist of the 1996 film Eraser. He is a mercenary working for U.S. Masrhal Robert Deguerin.
Role[]
As it turns out, Royce is involved of a conspiracy plot (formulated by U.S. Undersecretary Daniel Harper) to sell electromagnetic rail-guns (created by Cyrez Corporation) on the black market, and that the notorious terrorist Sergei Ivanovich Petrofsky has paid in $52 million for 10 tons of the weaponry. As such, Royce is tasked in helping out loading the weaponry on Petrofsky's freighter ship at the Baltimore docks.
However, U.S. Marshal John Kruger arrives in the rescue by bringing in a mob witness named Johnny Castleone, who brought in his cousin Tony Two-Toes (who owns the docks and is disgusted by the illegal arms sale) and his men to help. To that end, Kruger hides himself in an empty warehouse before Agents Schiff and Calderon spot him and fire their railguns to destroy the warehouse. Deguerin then sends in Royce and Holmes inside the warehouse to see if Kruger is dead or not.
As Royce surveys the area, he noticed a gun being thrown in the floor, thrown in by Kruger to get him off the tracks. As Royce picks up the gun, one of the snipers mistakes him for Kruger and aims his railgun at Royce, who realizes this too late as he ends up being shot to his death. The sniper himself would later be shot to death by one of Tony's men afterwards.
