Rubin Bartlett is the secondary antagonist of Ernest Goes To Jail. He is a criminal that worked for Felix Nash, as well as being his deathrow inmate.
He was portrayed by Barry Scott.
Rubin kills a prisoner offscreen at the Dracup Maximum Security Prison. He begs Felix Nash to help him. Nash tells Rubin that he is responsible for the murder. During his trial in the courtroom, he spots Ernest, who looks just like Nash, and later reports it to Nash. While Nash pretends to be Ernest, he reminds Rubin that Ernest is not him. Rubin temporarily pretends Ernest is Nash. When Ernest magnetically resurrects from the electric chair, Rubin along with Lyle prepares to prevent Ernest's escape out of jail at the main gate after Ernest electrifies all of the security guards. Rubin tries to stop Ernest from escaping the prison at its gate, but Lyle tells him to spare Ernest. After knocking out Rubin, Lyle releases Ernest who tells him goodbye afterwards.
