The Rugby Jamen (ラグビー邪面 Ragubī Jamen) is one of the two primary antagonists (the other being Rugger Ligany) in the 2020 TV series Mashin Sentai Kiramager. He is a Rugby-themed Jamenshi of the Dark Empire Yodonheim and under the command of general Carantula. He was sent by his masters the Yodonheim leaders and generals to attack Tokyo and gather the darkness from the people of Tokyo, as a part of Yodonheim's plan to open a portal to Earth in order for the evil genie empire to invade and conquer the Human World. He was sent and tasked by Carantula to attack and destroy a theme park with his rugby bombs to kill the people there and drain hope from them. He was the first Jamenshi monster and Yodonheim's invasion commander to be fought and defeated by Kiramagers.
He was voiced by Miou Tanaka.
History[]
This genie monster was sent by his master, the general Carantula to attack and destroy a Tokyo theme park with his rugby bombs to kill the people there and drain hope from them. The Rugby Jamen made his first appearance at an amusement park on top of a roller coaster over looking everything that are beautiful, so with that said he'd brought along a couple of Bechats and challenge the humans in a game of Rugby. However there's a catch to it because whenever he or the Bechats made a touchdown the ball explode.
As shown when it blew one of the Amusement rides. Just then the team arrived and battle the Rugby Jamen and the Bechats, but the Rugby Jamen used its ability and dodge the team as he made a touchdown right at another ride and it too blew up.
A while later the Rugby Jamen used the ball and he's plan to kick it at a Ferris wheel where one of the civilians are in the ride thankfully Juru inspiration has struck as he drawn the Sky Mage just in time to save the civilians. After that the Rugby Jamen left the scene to cause more destruction.
He then appeared at a power plant with an army of Bechats ready to start the 2nd half of rugby. However the Kiramager showed up and battle them, but the Rugby Jamen used his own ability and plow through the team as he made touch down at generator as it blew up too. Thankfully Juru and Sena showed up as they transformed into Kiramager and battled the Bechats while Sena chased the Rugby Jamen. However the real Sena showed up as her Gemini counterpart gave the morpher to her as she transform and tackle the Rugby Jamen to prevent him from making another touchdown. After that he was then destroyed when Sena used own explosive ball right at his face.
Personality[]
Rugby Jamen was a cunning, unpredictable and villainous Jamenshi genie who will stop at nothing to destroy the Kiramagers and finish his mission given to him by his masters to gather the darkness from humans and open a portal to Earth in order to help Yodonheim invade and conquer the Human Realm. Just like all other Jamenshi, Rugby Jamen hated all beautiful things and desired to destroy them. He was also annoyed when Kiramagers interfered his plan and wanted to eliminate and get rid of them at all cost. However, despite his villainous nature, Rugby Jamen also had a small and minor comical side, such as he was obsessed with rugby to the point that most lines he spoke had some correlation to the sport.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Genie Magic: Just like all other Jamenshi, Rugby Jamenshi possessed genie magic and could use his genie powers to warp the reality and perform various magic tricks and feats to attack his enemies.
- Superhuman Speed: He is able to run at supernatural speed and can use his speed to attack his opponents.
Arsenal[]
- Rugby Ball Bomb: Rugby Jamen can use his rugby ball to play his game. If it made a touchdown or makes a contact on an object, it will cause an explosion.
- Conversion Kick: Rugby Jamen's strongest attack, wherein he places his rugby bomb on the ground, and kicks it hard enough to explode on impact. One hit severed a Ferris wheel car.

- He is the first sports-themed monster since Gloven from 2017 TV series called Uchu Sentai Kyuranger.
- His design is inspired by Baseball Mask from 1975 TV series called Himitsu Sentai Goranger.
- Rugby Jamen uses a similar attack to the Gorengers' Gorenger Hurricane.
