|~ Runa Yomozuki to Mary Saotome.|
Runa Yomozuki (黄泉月 るな Yomozuki Runa) is a supporting character in the manga and anime series, Kakegurui. She's the leader of the Election Committee of the student council who serves as a referee during election gambling matches.
She is voiced by Mayu Udono in the original Japanese version and Kayli Mills. The latter of which playing heroines such as Alice Zuberg in Sword Art Online, Emilia in Re:Zero, and Rosa in Pokémon Masters. While she's played by Natsume Mito in live-action. In Sentai English dub, she is voiced by Brittney Karbowski.
Runa is a youthful-looking member of the student council. She serves as the head of the Election Committee and personally serves as a referee during an election gambling match she felt to be important.
Runa is a very petite girl, having a rather youthful appearance, especially in comparison to other members of the Student Council. She possesses quite a light complexion, long platinum blonde hair with short bangs, split in the middle of her forehead and purple eyes. She wears an orange rabbit kigurumi over the Hyakkaou Private Academy uniform. She has light pink painted fingernails, orange lip gloss, and is often seen sucking on lollipops of various different types and flavors and playing games on a Pink Playstation Vita (Nintendo Switch with red and green Joycons in live action).
At first, Runa comes off as a enthusiastic, upbeat, cheerful, and very charismatic individual, especially during public broadcasts. Unlike other members of Student Council, she doesn't take her role too seriously, being known for eating snacks and playing video games during Student Council's deliberations instead of paying attention, and not caring so much about school's issues.
However, despite looking friendly and innocent, Runa possess a large streak of cruelty and tends to get bored very easily, which may indicate sociopathic tendencies. Her behavior when Midari Ikishima picked out her own eye, and during the match between Mary, Ryota Suzui, Miyo Inbami and Miri Yobami, shows that she incredibly likely has little to no regards of human life, similar to Kirari Momobami. As she seems to enjoy the infamous housepet system. A great example of this is when she humiliated Mary Saotome who confronted her about the case of her Lifeplan Schedule, telling her that she quickly needs to boost her skills in terms of pleasing men. Regardless, a fairplay is still extremely important to Runa, as she is able to put aside her ideas to keep gambling matches as fair and neutral as possible and any attempt of cheating is completely unacceptable for her.
- In Chapter 62 of the manga, Ibara Obami calls Runa "Furry Girl".
- She is the only member of the Student Council that hasn't challenged Yumeko to a gambling match, excluding Kirari and Vice-President.
- It’s implied that before Kaede Manyuda’s match against Yumeko, that she’s one of, if not the, only other person to be aware of the fact that Kirari and the Vice President were twins.
