Ruruka Ando is a minor antagonist of Danganronpa 3: The End Of Hope's Peak High-School.
She's a member of the Future Foundation prying to rid the world of the remnants of Despair. Her Ultimate Talent used to be the Ultimate Confectioner, being really good at baking. She's one of the members of the final Killing Game. Although she's a member of a heroic foundation, her true colors are much more villainous than they appear, as she's usually prone at using people for her own benefit, and hates anyone who backstabs her. She is friends with Sonosuke Izayoi and was a former friend with Seiko Kimura.
She was voiced by Inori Minase in Japanese and by Jad Saxton in English.
Biography[]
Danganronpa 3: Despair Side[]
Ruruka Ando was a member of the 76th Class at Hope's Peak Academy as the Ultimate Confectioner. She was childhood friends with Seiko Kimura who she would regularly try to get to eat the candy that she made, however, Seiko was unable to because of the medicine that she had to take.
In order to pass the practical exam for her talent, Ruruka bullied Seiko into giving her a drug that would add health benefits to her candy, however, thanks to Nagito's luck, it ended up being switched with laxatives. This, plus the discovery that she was cheating and the bombs that Nagito planted being accidentally set by Ruruka and Seiko lead to the two plus Ruruka's boyfriend, Sonosuke Izayoi all being expelled.
Once the Tragedy started, because the three were nowhere near Hope's Peak Academy, they managed to survive and were rescued by the Future Foundation with Ruruka becoming the Head of Future Foundation's 8th Branch which specialises in long-term stable food procurement.
Danganronpa 3: Future Side[]
Ruruka along with the rest of the Future Foundation's Branch Heads would end up in a killing game where one of them would die every few hours. During this time, Seiko Kimura would chase after Ruruka who was being carried by Sonosuke. When Seiko cornered Ruruka, she would try to appeal to Seiko by talking about their previous friendship to little effect.
Ruruka would soon learn Seiko's forbidden action which was to have someone step in her shadow which Ruruka would try to exploit to kill Seiko, however, Seiko would break the lights in the room and break the glass separating Ruruka and her, making Ruruka run away. Soon Ruruka would meet up with Sonosuke again and found out that he had found the exit to the killing game, this was a bad thing for Ruruka since her forbidden action was to have someone leave the killing game and would die if it happened so Ruruka would use Sonosuke's forbidden action of eating to kill him by forcing a sweet into his mouth with a kiss before hiding the exit.
When Ruruka reunited with Koichi, Kyoko, Ryota and Juzo, Ruruka would take advantage of the nearby plastic explosives as well as Juzo trying to kill them for Kyosuke, and detonate them underneath Kyoko's feet, almost killing her by dropping her down a large pit that opened up, but instead making Koichi save her by doing his forbidden action and killing him.
Ryota would call Ruruka out on this but she would use her special sweet to mind control Juzo into killing Ryota and Kyoko, however, the pain from the spear trap broke the spell. Kyoko would then reveal to Ryota and Juzo that Ruruka had killed Sonosuke and for what reason, making Juzo reveal the exit before opening it only to find out that it was a fake exit.
After this, Ruruka would remain hidden as she snuck over to the front entrance of the building, barricading it to prevent anyone from leaving. After an hour or so, Ruruka would be the next victim of the killing game, being subjected to the mind control video that made Ruruka kill herself by disembowelling her stomach.
