Alexander Rusev, though now goes by just Rusev, is a wrestler that appears in the WWE. He is a villainous character that weights over 300 pounds making him a super heavyweight. He is commonly introduced into the ring by his manager/wife Lana.

Rusev actually made his debut during the 2014 Royal Rumble at the Royal Rumble event itself and was the 6th person to enter.  However, Rusev was eventually eliminated by four superstars (Kofi Kingston, CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, and Seth Rollins) and was the third person overall to get eliminated.

Rusev eventually made his RAW debut easily defeating Zack Ryder. Rusev would then feud with R-Truth and Xavier Woods, and ended up defeating them both on separate occasions and even beat them both in a handicap match.

He also defeated US wrestlers Big E Langston, Jack Swagger, Mark Henry and Big Show. He defeated Sheamus soon after Big Show to win the United States Title, declaring that he would give the title to Vladimir Putin.

Before Rusev appears, Lana will cut a brief promo on him. Rusev then appears and enters the ring. Rusev doesn't speak English that much so Lana often does the talking for him.

Finishing Moves

  • The Accolade: Rusev puts his opponents in a camel clutch in attempt to make them submit. Due to Rusev's large size, this move often leads into tap outs.
  • Jumping side kick: Despite his size, Rusev is also agile enough to kick his opponents, though he can't do a superkick. This kick is powerful to knockout wrestlers smaller than Rusev but not those taller than him, like Ryback or the Big Show. He once used this to knockout a young US soldier, which angered Big Show, who was furious to see Rusev attacking an American.
