Ryuzaburo Sakata is a politician who is secretly a member of Gorgom and a supporting antagonist in Kamen Rider BLACK.
He is portrayed by Koreharu Hisatomi.
Biography[]
Ryuzaburo Sakata sought to become a Gorgom Mutant and obtain an extended lifespan by using the influence he had through his political connections.
To bolster Gorgom's influence over the Japanese government, Sakata formed the EP Party to be a political front for the cult. Among those to join his new party was fellow Gorgom member Koichi Omiya, whose company Omiya Konzern made donations to the party. While posing as a political party for peace, the EP Party secretly pursued an agenda to eliminate undesirables from Japanese society whom Gorgom had deemed unworthy to become mutants. They did so by setting up a hospital and building a machine to heal others, that secretly had a flaw which caused it to slowly kill those it was used on. Its creator designed the machine with earnest intentions to heal people and attempted to destroy its blueprints when he discovered the flaw, but Gorgom became aware of his machine and stole the blueprints for it first before having him assassinated. They then built the machine intentionally with the flaw and used it to secretly eliminate undesirable humans.
Although Gorgom was defeated, Sakata's crimes were never exposed and he was never seen being brought to justice, though it’s possible he was killed by Gorgom for his failure.
