|~ An unnamed member of Site-81 describing the entity.|
The SCP-2935 Entity is a Lovecraftian horror and an antagonist in the SCP mythos. It is an unidentified entity currently residing in SCP-2935 which, if released, will destroy all life in the universe except the person who let it out. Due to having never appeared in any other story on the SCP site, the entity does not have a name or description.
In 2016, the SCP Foundation (using an unmanned drone) discovered a cave in Indiana that served as a portal to another universe. An exploration team discovered a house containing a family, all of whom were dead. The bodies showed no signs of decomposition and the food appeared not to be rotting despite having been there long enough to be covered with dust. Further investigation showed that no germs were present.
After the team reached an abandoned version of Site-81, they realised that something had killed everything that could be considered alive on the planet, even plants and artificial intelligence. Whatever it was had even killed SCP-682, which Foundation scientists consider to be impossible. SCP-079 was also found to be unresponsive, and electricity didn't appear to work either.
However, the team did discover something that horrified them so much that they sent a message to the Foundation telling them to seal up the cave and never let "it" out. They then killed themselves by detonating a nuclear bomb and destroying Site-81. The Foundation viewed the data transferred by the team and found what had horrified the team: a suicide message from a member of Site-81's staff.
The staff member explained that he was sent through the portal to a different alternate universe in which every living thing was killed in the same way as this. When he returned to his world, the man was horrified to discover that the death phenomena had followed him through and instantly killed everything in the universe. Plants shriveled and died, birds fell from the sky and people dropped dead where they stood. The agent realized that there must have been "something" in the cave that had killed the other universe and that needed him to enter the portal and bring it through. The team had killed themselves so that they could never bring "Death" out of the cave. With no way of discovering what the entity was, all the Foundation were able to do was seal up the entrance to the cave.
What the entity is, what its motivations are and if it is aware of its actions is unknown.
