It is a memetic entity that used to be a humanoid asset also known as SCP-105/Iris Thompson after partaking as a test subject for “Project Lethe” as the Foundation’s effort to create antimemetics before she was ultimately killed by its torturous experiments. The Foundation’s efforts backfired as she was “revived” as SCP-3002, with its primary objective to get revenge on the Foundation by infecting humanity as a whole and then destroying any Foundation personnel.
SCP-3002 is an incorporeal memetic entity and does not possess a real physical form.
Lily Veselka[]
However, as recalled from a person affected by the entity, it is described as humanoid female (referred “SCP-3002-1”) by “having extremely pale blonde hair, appearing anemic, and being a childhood friend originally from an Eastern European country.”
Biography[]
“
You see, she told me she was going to change the world. I didn't realize how at first, but I do now. She was going to make the world less lonely. She's done such a good job too, don't you see? All over the globe, everyone knows her as their best friend. She's done so well…
Before the experiments began, the Foundation decided to create a form of amnestic that could remotely erase memories from a larger population, so the O5 Council chose “Lily” (implied to be a version of SCP-105/Iris Thompson) as their asset in order to reach into people’s memories. She was bought in an abandoned Foundation facility at Site-E in Uzhanskyi National park in Ukraine the through conducting invasive neurosurgery onto her, “Lily’s” mind began to deteriorate as the Council decided to rush its completion before accidentally getting her killed in the process. The Foundation tampered evidence regarding “Project Lethe” by cremating her body and archiving its history. As the result, SCP-3002 was unknowingly created by the Foundation as she was transformed into a sapient and sentient memetic entity.
Foundation Attention[]
Safe Classification[]
SCP-3002 starts off as a shared memory of the prisoner population in the South Rock Penitentiary located near Lafayette, Indiana. The affected individual recalls a girl named “Lily Veselka” as a childhood friend in the form of their fabricated memories. The Foundation doesn’t deem the entity as a threat and not much concerning, therefore it was classified Safe.
Euclid Classification[]
However, the Foundation suspects the entity turns out to have affected people outside of the Penitentiary as the entity spreads through forms of information like print, broadcast, digital media and even through verbal means, thus giving it the description as a “Class II contagious memetic hazard” and its Euclid classification. The Foundation took action through the means of creating “Project Veselka” and took in the affected to investigate and examine them. They tried to find ways on how to effectively remove the entity, however, it is only effective from surgically removing its memories or even terminating the affected person. The tactic wasn’t approved and its impractical as a large number of people are already affected, so the Foundation tried creating an anti-meme, but was discovered that it had no effect on SCP-3002.
Keter Classification[]
As SCP-3002 spread uncontrollably, the entity was capable of causing an MK-Class Scenario. It has contaminated the minds of 78% of the world’s population, including the Foundation themselves. It is said that once a person is contaminated, they lose control of their bodies and try to influence an unexposed person. The entity is now extremely hostile and mainly contaminates them with its influence, making their personnel kill each other as well. The entity was deemed as a global threat and it could alter and remove specific memories, making it a “Class X contagious memetic hazard” and its Keter classification. SCP-3002 had also taken over most of the O5 members and out of desperation, the Foundation tried to reach out to other rival organizations (GOC, Serpent’s Hand, Chaos Insurgency, AWCY?, etc.) to which the outcomes were unfortunately either receiving no response, destroyed by O5-1 caused by the presence of SCP-3002, or did actually receive a response that The Serpent’s Hand “fear she is among them now.” The Foundation nearly collapsed caused by the entity’s influence and even resorted to extremes such as exterminating the people contaminated by the entity and destroying all forms of information (including Foundation documents), creating an anti-meme “capable of suppressing SCP-3002,” but all their tactics had failed. After their failed attempts to neutralize the entity, the Foundation’s proposal was to “Reset” the world as the last straw.

Special Containment Procedures[]
“
A single prisoner affected by SCP-3002 is to be kept for the purposes of testing and analysis. They will be held in a standard humanoid containment cell in Site-41. Verbal and physical interaction is to be limited to approved testing. The remaining prisoners and staff members of South Rock Penitentiary have been given Class B amnestics, and are to be monitored for any re-occurrence of SCP-3002.

“
A single written account of SCP-3002 has been stored in Site-41's Anomalous Document Vault. Testing must be performed by at least three staff members with 03/3002 security clearance. The test subject and any personnel who does not have an active CL-II Memetic Countermeasure must be given Class C amnestics following the test. All documentation concerning SCP-3002 must have memetic countermeasures able to suppress a Class 2 infohazard. In addition, documentation is not allowed to leave the SCP-3002 research space or be shown to personnel not on the SCP-3002 project. A single person from the initial group discovered to have been affected by SCP-3002 is to be kept in a standard humanoid containment cell, for the purpose of long-term study and analysis of SCP-3002 exposure. If any person is discovered to have been affected by SCP-3002, they are to be given Class C or Class B amnestics, depending on when it was determined they were initially contaminated. Currently, a means to memetically or physically identify a person affected by SCP-3002 without the need for vocal confirmation is being researched, tentatively titled Project Veselka. Speak to Dr. Loyd for more information on this project.

All text containing SCP-3002 must be destroyed, aside from official SCP documentation. Access to SCP-3002 documentation is limited to personnel with Level 4/3002 security clearance or higher. Administrator override has been revoked, with the exception of O5 Command and the current director of the Records and Information Security Administration. Procedure Veselka has been updated to include a memetic trigger which can be used to identify affected persons. If an affected person is detected, they are to be sedated using ranged weaponry and collected or terminated. Depending on their prominence or importance, an affected individual may be surgically amnesticized. If all memories have been contaminated (or a sufficiently large proportion so as to impede normal functioning following surgery), the affected subject may be terminated with standard Foundation protocols being enacted for concealing their death. All Foundation personnel above Level 3 clearance are to be considered Important Individuals if they are discovered to have been affected. Surgical removal of memories has shown to be the only reliable way to remove SCP-3002 from a person. Pharmaceutical and aerial amnestics have failed to remove the anomaly in all cases since ██/██/2016. Any print companies or websites that are actively creating content containing SCP-3002, whether knowingly or not, are to be shut down and their owners terminated. All content they have created is to be destroyed. No testing or interviews may be held concerning SCP-3002, without the express permission of the current project head.

See Document 3002-6. All contaminated people must be destroyed, including former staff, family, and acquaintances. Staff must be vetted by either O5-1 or O5-2, before access to this document or any remaining staff is allowed.

SCP-3002's new name "Lily Veselka" comes from her original first name being "Iris," another type of flower and "Veselka" being a reference to her Slovakian ancestry.
