SCP-3333-1 are a hostile species in the SCP Foundation series. They are a group of entities existing within the location known as SCP-3333 who kill and impersonate anyone who reaches the top floor.
SCP-3333-1 inhabit SCP-3333, a spatial anomaly within the Suntop fire lookout at Snoqualmie National Forest, Washington State. SCP-3333 is an exact copy of the lookout accessible via a trapdoor in the ceiling, complete with an identical trap door which leads to another copy of the lookout. This continues for 527 floors until one reaches the apex: multiple copies of the lookout with no natural light inside connected to each other through a grid pattern via the doorways, none of which contain a trapdoor in the ceiling. It is here that SCP-3333-1 are encountered.
Exploration I[]
The SCP Foundation became aware of SCP-3333 when the trapdoor was discovered during renovations after nearby volcanic activity. An observation post, Observation Post 3333, was set up in the Suntop lookout while SCP-3333 was analysed and the trapdoor leading to SCP-3333, which had been locked, was forced open. D-4f68a was sent through the trapdoor for initial explorations with orders to continue ascending until ordered not to, observed by Doctor Williams via bodycam and microphone. After ascending several hundred floors, D-4f68a observed two instances of SCP-3333-1 watching him from nearby Mount Rainier; they were not visible from the observation post. Both instances saw the light reflecting off D-4f68a's binoculars and began to approach SCP-3333. D-4f68a's request to leave was denied by Doctor Williams.
Following this, D-4f68a continued to ascend SCP-3333. He began to hallucinate seeing writing on the walls but was still denied the ability to descend. When D-4f68a reached the apex, he attempted to activate his head torch and found that the batteries had disappeared. He was then attacked by an instance of SCP-3333-1 and his bodycam and microphone switched off. D-4f68a did not re-appear.
Exploration II[]
Due to the disappearance of D-4f68a, Mobile Task Force Mod-0 ("Characteristic Eigenspaces") was deployed to SCP-3333 to investigate. The MTF team climbed for four days until they reached the apex of SCP-3333 and began their search, finding D-4f68a's empty backpack. The team briefly lost contact with their leader Graham Purcell (Mod-5), followed by Mod-2, Mod-3 and Mod-4, leaving only Mod-1 to communicate with Doctor Williams. Contact was regained with all before Mod-1's camera and microphone briefly cut out. All five experienced a group hallucination about a flaming mountain before retreating back to Observation Post 3333.
Exploration III[]
Counter-Memetic Specialist 0, a blind-deaf mute with memetic powers, was sent to investigate SCP-3333, observed by Doctor Williams and MTF Mod-5 Purcell. After a number of floors Specialist 0 sensed SCP-3333-1 instances on the mountain like D-4f68a. They continued to follow and observe her as she ascended, against the orders of Mod-5. Specialist 0 eventually came across a body and got closer so that Doctor Williams could observe it, ignoring Mod-5's demands that she retreat. She was then attacked by SCP-3333-1 and her bodycam cut out. It switched back on moments later, revealing that Specialist 0 was dead and the body, reduced to a pile of muscles, bones and organs, was wearing a dog tag identifying it as Mod-5 Purcell. SCP-3333-1 had in fact killed MTF Mod-0 when their microphones cut out and were wearing their skin.
Aftermath[]
After they were discovered, the SCP-3333-1 instances wearing MTF-0's skin released at least 50 SCP-3333-1 instances and overran Observation Post 3333, killing and replacing all staff present at the observation post. Doctor Williams attempted to escape by hiding inside SCP-3333, recording her exploration on her phone. After climbing for an hour, she encountered an instance of SCP-3333-1 wearing D-4f68a's skin and shot it to death. She then continued climbing until she reached the apex, where she encountered an instance impersonating Specialist 0. Unable to shoot it due to using all her bullets on D-4f68a, and having blocked up the trapdoor beneath her, she could do nothing to stop the SCP-3333-1 instance from emerging from Specialist 0's skin, firing a barbed stinger at her to inject her with a paralytic agent, sucking her organs out through a sucker on its chest and stealing her skin.
SCP-3333-1 was in charge of the observation post for a significant amount of time, keeping up the façade of observing and exploring SCP-3333. They remained in control until a supply assistant who had somehow evaded replacement sent the Foundation a message alerting them to Observation Post 3333's takeover before being killed and replaced. Recontainment teams were sent to re-take the post but found it completely deserted, SCP-3333-1 having fled in the meantime. The trapdoor leading to SCP-3333 was sealed off to prevent any more instances from emerging and Mobile Task Force Lambda-1 ("Maxwell's Demons") was set up to track down SCP-3333-1.
