STRANGER is the overarching antagonist of the Doll Eye series.
He is the father of the game's main antagonist Mystery Burns and is the cause for most their trauma as a result of him abusing Mystery throughout their childhood.
Biography[]
Stranger became the CEO of his own successful fashion company called the Burns Fashion Company. He met and fell in love with one of his models Lilly, and they eventually got married and had a child called Victor. Stranger and Lilly held Victor to very high expectations and rarely let him out of the house. They forced him into focusing on studying things that would make him a successful heir to the business one day. Stranger was also physically and mentally abusive towards his wife and child. When Victor was around 12, Lilly died, sending Stranger into grief and causing him to become even more harsh and overprotective towards Victor.
When Victor was in their 20s they started to transition as a non-binary person named Pastery, which Stranger greatly disapproved of Pastery is then implied to have killed themselves at some point, and not much is known of what happened to Stranger after that.
Personality[]
Stranger is a strict, serious, heavily religious, closed off man. He's been shown to love his wife Lilly very deeply and was heartbroken when she passed away. Stranger also believed he was doing what was best for Victor, and that by keeping him isolated from the world he was protecting him and let him seldom go outside.
However, his stress and violent tendencies made him do more harm than good, especially to those around him. His hatred, particularly towards the LGBT+ community, leads him to abuse Mystery when he starts to identify as such, contributing to his transformation to who he is at the time of the game.
Villainous Actions[]
- STRANGER abused his wife Lilly Burns physically and mentally. He also made her develop an eating disorder.
- He also abused his son, held him to unrealistically high standards, rarely let him go out in public, and often locked him in his room for an extremely long amounts of time for little things.
- He's transphobic and expressed extreme disapproval of his child wearing "women's clothes" as they started to transition in their 20s.
- He's also homophobic.
