Even on a coin toss I never miss my mark.
~ Saati's line from her teasers.

Saati, also known by her title The Trickshot, is a playable antagonist in Paladins. A dark elf bounty hunter who only accepts the highest quality gear and payment.

She's a Damage champion that was introduced on September 15th, 2021.

She is voiced by Laila Berzins.

Official Bio[]

"No expense is spared to be the best of the best. She may work for money, but she makes her money work for her — with the latest equipment to complement her skills. You may try to take cover, but not even solid cover can save you from Saati, the Trickshot.

To you, a coinflip is a gamble. For her, it’s an opportunity. If you hear that she's after your bounty, you might as well stop running and meet her face to face — either way, it only delays her next night out. The biggest marks yet still walk the Realm, and those big bounties will fund a LOT of carousal."

Biography[]

An elven bounty hunter, Saati spares no expense for herself, taking up any bounties if one has the money.

Saati has had past connections and flings with various other characters, showing a history with Kinessa and Skye. She would later end up in a barfight with the latter.

Personality[]

Saati is an egotistical and selfish individual, with most of her focus being on looking good and getting paid, dressing up in fancy clothing and attending high class parties and events.

Though an enjoyer of these activities, Saati is also an extremely lustful individual, with a majority of her lines towards other characters being flirtatious in nature, with several other lines also being either innuendos or phrased in a suggestive tone.

Saati also takes pleasure in her work, showing a sadistic and mocking side while on the battlefield, going so far as to mock her own team when losing a match.

Powers and Abilities[]

Though Saati has a generally relaxed attitude, she is a dangerous individual, capable of easily matching Skye, who was trained by the Thousand Hands, in combat. Her equipment is the best of the best, and she has shown incredible aim with her pistol, being able to shoot a small coin midair and use it to deflect a shot in order to hit targets hiding behind cover, or purposefully miss them by inches in order to taunt or frighten her target further.

Gameplay[]

Passive Abilities[]

Rather than regular cooldowns as most champions have, Saati's abilities work on a system known as "Pips" (no relation to the Paladins character known as Pip). Saati can have a maximum of 8 Pips at once, with her abilities using these Pips to be activated. Saati also moves 20% faster when she has 4 or less Pips remaining. 1 Pip regenerates every 2.5 seconds.

Hand Cannon[]

  • A heavy pistol that deals 550 damage every 0.5 seconds.
  • Shoots 10% faster when Saati has 5 or more Pips.
  • Has a base ammo count of 7.

Ricochet[]

  • Throw an arcing coin into the air that can be shot at to deflect your shots and hit nearby enemies.
  • Hitting the coin as it flies through the air freezes it for a short time, allowing Saati to deflect further shots off the coin. The coin will disappear once it comes into contact with the ground otherwise.
  • The coin itself deals 100 damage if it hits an enemy.
  • The coin can deflect 4 shots, hitting nearby enemies for 300 damage.
  • If the coin is shot all 4 times, it will explode, dealing 550 damage to all nearby enemies.
  • Costs 2 Pips to activate.

Dead Ringer[]

  • Deploy a cardboard cutout with 1,500 health that shoots enemies and grants Saati a base 1.5 seconds of invisibility.
  • Cutout will shoot 3 shots that deal 150 damage every second and reveals any enemies hit.
  • Cutout can also hit Ricochet coins, but only the initial shot.
  • Enemies that destroy the cutout will be revealed to Saati for 3 seconds.
  • Costs a base 4 Pips to activate.

Blast Back[]

  • Push yourself and enemies away from each other, dealing 250 damage and catching enemies on fire for 25 damage every 0.4 seconds over 2 seconds.
  • Grants knockback immunity for the duration.
  • Costs 4 Pips to activate.

Ultimate: Wallbang[]

  • Supercharge your Hand Cannon to fire up to 3 bullets. Each bullet Pierces the world and enemies, dealing 777 damage to anyone unlucky enough to be in the way.
  • Has a 1.1 second delay between shots.
  • Other abilities can't be used while active.
  • Activating the ability costs 40% charge, with each subsequent shot costing 20%.

Talents[]

As with every other champion in Paladins, Saati has a number of different talents and cards which can be used to somewhat alter the way her abilities function. Cards can be upgraded with a limited pool of fifteen points per load-out in order to increase their effectiveness. Numbers in curly brackets are the default values and can be upgraded a total of five times, each upgrade adding another instance of the base value to overall effectiveness.

Improvised[]

  • The Decoy is now more cost effective to use in battle. The Dead Ringer decoy will now cost 3 Pips instead of 4 and will explode, dealing 500 damage to enemies within a 10 unit radius.
  • Default talent.

Window of Opportunity[]

  • Blast Back now knocks enemies straight up and enemies take 20% more DMG from Saati for 1.5 seconds.
  • Unlocked at Mastery Level 2.

Heads or Tails[]

  • Ricocheted shots deal 200% more damage to shields, reveal enemies for 1s, and heal Saati for 125 health.
  • Unlocked at Mastery Level 8.
