Saber Doubler (サーベルダブラー Sāberu Daburā) is a minor antagonist of Uchuu Keiji Gavan who appears in episode 24. He is a smilodon-like Doubler who is sent out by Makuu to assassinate Gavan to prevent him from getting in their way with their plans.
He was voiced by late Toku Nishio.
Biography[]
The Saber Doubler often appears in Mimi's dreams where he went out to kill Gavan and eventually succeeds, which causing her to feared that her nightmare might came true and attempt to convince Retsu not to leave her and fought against it. But unfortunately, her nightmare has came true as Saber Doubler is already made and is sent out by Don Horror to kill and take down Gavan to prevent him from getting in their way with their plans.
When Kojiro and the Fuji siblings are traveling in the Mt. Amano to search for the UFO the former wanted to see it, the Doubler eventually came out to terrorized them, which led them running away in fear. Later, the Doubler went to attack Retsu when he arrived to save Kojiro and the Fuji siblings, while also taunting him that he cannot defeat him and he'll finish him off, until he sent him to be washed up in the river. After Retsu transformed into Gavan while being attacked, he fought against the Doubler before firing a Laser Z Beam at him. After they were dragged into Makuu Space, Gavan has struggled to fight against the Doubler, even when he's trapped and attempt to charged at him with a Dimension Bomber. Despite Gavan fending him off with Laser Blade, the Doubler eventually grew larger and attempt to threw grenades at Gavan, which he had to call upon Dol just to he could get closer to him and finish him off with Gavan Dynamic.
