President Ṣaddām Ḥusayn ʿAbd al-Maǧīd al-Tikrītiyy, prominently known as Saddam Hussein, is a minor antagonist in the 2024 first-person shooter Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.

He is the president of Iraq who headed the invasion of Kuwait, thus kickstarting the Gulf War. He also has ties to Pantheon, a former CIA division and received access to the Cradle in exchange for the paramilitary group receiving facilities and bases in the region.

Biography[]

Background[]

Saddam Hussein was born on April 28th, 1937 in Al-Awja, Iraq. When he became of age, he joined the Iraqi Armed Forces and served during the Second Iraqi-Kurdish War. After the war, he joined the political government in Iraq and served as the de-facto leader of the country until 1979 when he formally became president. During the Iranian Hostage Crisis of 1979, he had assisted Arash Kadivar during it, and helped him escape arrest from the CIA.

In the early 1980's, he came into contact with Jane Harrow, who needed money to help fund the Pantheon's weaponry and soldiers. Hussein agreed to help them. During the course of the years, he collected priceless artifacts that he stored underneath his palace in the Syrian Desert in Iraq. In the late 1980s, he made an Iraq politician, Saeed Alawi, his defense minister.

In late January of 1991, Hussein authorized that Alawi to be an enemy of the state for coinciding with the Americans when he had found out that he had been making deals with the Patheon. He had sent in multiple troops to assassinate Alawi, and indirectly succeeded when Alawi was killed by Russell Adler.

Hunting Season[]

In February, the Special Air Service launched an assault on his palace with the help of Adler and his unit, as part of the deal to allow the rogue CIA agents to enter the palace for information regarding Pantheon.

The Cradle[]

Helen Park, William "Case" Calderon, Adler and Troy Marshall assisted in the raid of the palace, finding a case of a virological weapon called the Cradle, a file detailing the origins of the weapon and a encrypted disc. After the operation, the Rogue Black Ops uncovered Harrow's false flag operation by incriminating Hussein with releasing the Cradle at the Capitol Building.

Trivia[]

Even though he appeared in the trailers, he made no physical appearance in the game.
- Because of the trailers, people though that he is going to be the main antagonist of the game and even make an in-game physical appearance.
The golden toilet seen in "The Cradle" is a reference to the real life event when U.S. soldiers discovered a golden toilet during the 2003 invasion of Iraq.
