Minister of Defence Saeed Alawi is a minor antagonist in the 2024 first-person shooter Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.

He is voiced by Jordan Bielsky.

Biography[]

Background[]

Saeed Alawi was born to unnamed parents in Iraq. He presumably assisted in the Iranian Hostage Crisis of 1979, which was caused by Arash Kadivar. He eventually went into politics in the 1980's and was appointed Defense Minister by Saddam Hussein. However by 1989 Alawi eventually found out that Saddam was working alongside a paramilitary terrorist organization named Pantheon, and wanted no part of it. He was then contacted by Russell Adler in late 1990 to discuss a deal on giving him information on Hussein's dealings with Pantheon in exchange for safe passage.

Death[]

In January of 1991, Alawi was fleeing Kuwait alongside multiple members of the Iraq military, and was told to have been given safe passage by Adler. However, while driving the Rogue Black Ops launched an airstrike on the road, and took out all of his personnel. Alawi was then captured by Troy Marshall and was restrained by him. Alawi and the rest then were making their way back to Faraj, but Pantheon soldiers soon arrived to assassinate Alawi. After successfully taking out the soldiers and making their way to Faraj, Jane Harrow realized that Faraj had been killed and was to slow to stop Adler, who left the vehicle, from shooting Alawi in the face, killing him.

Legacy[]

Failing to apprehend Alawi resulted in Marshall, Frank Woods and Case being suspended by Deputy Director Daniel Livingstone but gave them the freedom to continue Adler's investigation.
