History[]
He first appears during the Monster Association Arc, as his shadow is seen within the location known as the Mysterious Shine. With Platinum S’s defeated by Garou, Sage Centipede makes his entrance from the gigantic hole that was caused by Tatsumaki with its fight against Orochi. He announces that he is Father Earth's incarnation and distract him in order to avoid contact with the helicopter nearby that has Tareo inside. He warns the Hero Hunter that he takes a move Evil Ocean Water will make launch an attack to Garou which caught him off guard as the mysterious being uses his Centipede Grand March attack alongside with Evil Ocean Water contributing on their attacks at Garou with its water beams causing great significant damages. Saitama then charges at Sage Centipede and Evil Ocean Water whose presence was unnoticed. The powerful blast from Saitama caused massive injuries to the monster, shocking him. The centipede monster then makes an attempt to take down the helicopter nearby that was bothering him. His attack is then blocked by Metal Bat who appeared and strikes a decent powerful hit on its skull, the monster however simply pushes the hero aside with its tiny size compared to him. Metal Bat manages to block more of his attempt on taking down the helicopters around. With Garou still injured, he makes another attack on the monster which still caused not much damages. With Metal Bat starting to engage his conflict between the gigantic monsters, they decides to fight alongside upon arguing. While the two heroes attacks the long-length monster, Sage Centipede appears to be unconcerned about Metal Bat unlike Garou with him focusing the helicopter as hostage. While Metal Bat and Garou have a conflict, Sage Centipede takes the chances to use it as hostage before getting attacked the help of Gearsper. This also gave Garou an opportunity to evade his attempt on finishing him and freed the helicopter from the monster's antenna. He tries again to attack Garou with its antenna but are however chopped off by Metal Bat. Sage Centipede was impressed for the heroes' strong will of battle despite of the damages that had received so far in the fight causing him to get frustrated for failing to use his hostages but still holds confidence. Garou then throws the helicopter to a large net of 500 meters long as informed by Metal Bat. With Garou and Metal Bat's decision of working together, they still weren't able to hold against the monster’s next attack with the uses of his limbs, 666 Leg Grand Drill. With having gained more power from their attack combo, Metal Bat and Garou, this were able to strike immense damages to the monster's shell to the point he was no longer able to regenerate, causing him to scream in panique. Thanks to his previous fights with other monsters, Garou reveals him that he took an ball-shaped organ being the source allows him to regenerate the injuries he had received. Garou then tricks him by throwing it so hard that it surpass the Earth's atmosphere as Sage Centipede rushes to take his core back, revealing the rest of its enormous length of his body from underground. He manages to catch it by travelling to space at a very high speed, however as he quickly tries to place his core back at where it should be, Garou reaches a greater height then the monster and lands on its core, destroying it in the process.
