Sai Doubler (サイダブラー Sai Daburā) is a minor antagonist of Uchuu Keiji Gavan who appears in episodes 13 and 14. He is a rhinoceros-like Doubler that was fused from Doubleman Rhinoman and Sai Monster. His human disguise is a middle-aged man with a mustache who dressed like a magician and is equipped with a cane-disguised blade.
He was voiced by late Eisuke Yoda, who also voiced Volcano Mask General Magman in Himitsu Sentai Gorenger, Shine in J.A.K.Q. Dengekitai, Führer Taboo in Dai Sentai Goggle V, and Lu-Long, Parchis, Demost and Silver Shark in Sekai Ninja Sen Jiraiya. His human form was portrayed by late Kenji Ushio.
Biography[]
After Doubleman Rhinoman failed to defeat Gavan, it gave Makuu the idea of combining both Double Man and BEM Kaiju into a newly-made fusion monsters called Doublers, so they kidnap Professor Kozuki and threaten him into creating an organism combiner machine for them.
Now the organism combiner machine was created, the Doubleman Rhinoman decide to choose the Sai Monster as another test subject other than himself, and they later combined together and became Sai Doubler. When the Kozuki family are running away from Makuu, the Doubler attempt to pursue them but only to be intervened by Retsu. The Doubler then proceed to beat up Retsu, while declaring that he'll tear him limb from limb. When the Crushers are join him for help, the Doubler insists them to get out of his way. Even after Retsu transformed into Gavan, he is still overwhelmed by the Doubler's power and strength and they have a sword fight against each other. However, the fight ended with a tie as Gavan break the Doubler's shield with Gavan Dynamic.
While looking for Gavan, he encounters with Tsukiko Hoshino who is feeding a milk to two puppies. He intimidatingly asked if she could have a tea or a steak dripping in blood with him, but Hoshino fearfully rejects him and ran away with the puppies. Returning to Makuu Castle, the Doubler assumed that Gavan's off to train and decide to train as well, with him beating up and slaughtering several of Crushers. That night, he went to a grassy field where he would eat dozens of cows as his feast. The next day, he went to a grassy field again where he would continued eating cows until Kojiro Oyama encountered him and ran away in fear.
The next morning, Kojiro went to tell Retsu about what happened and they went straight to the woods for an investigation. As Retsu was all by himself, he encounters with Sai Doubler who walks menacingly before they set off in separate ways. After sending him an invitation letter to Onigamisaki, Sai Doubler and Retsu has began to determine the fate between their fight. After Retsu transformed into Gavan, he strike the Doubler with a Dimension Bomber before attempt to kick him in the right chest with Spiral Kick. After they were dragged into Makuu Space, both Gavan and the Doubler continued to fight each other but only for the Crushers to shoot the former which Gavan has to call upon Dol to destroy the fighters. Despite struggling during their sword fight, Gavan managed to stab the Doubler in the right chest before finishing him off with Gavan Dynamic.
