Sairen is an officer of the Akuma Clan and an antagonist in episode 5 of Akumaizer 3.
He was voiced by the late Shōzō Iizuka.
Biography[]
Sairen was a childhood friend of Xavitan's while he was growing up in Downworld and the one who first showed him human civilization, leading to Xavitan deciding to defend humans as an adult.
Some time after the Akumaizer 3's defection, Sairen was sent to lead an attack on the providence of Ginza so it could be turned into an Akuma Clan stronghold. He sent numerous Aguma to attack the providence, but they were fought off by the Akumaizer 3. Sairen himself then appeared to face them, fighting off Evil and Gabra before being faced by Xavitan. However, Xavitan did not want to fight his friend and held back, allowing Sairen to knock his Jankler out of his hand. Darunia then intervened to save Xavitan, claiming to do so because she disliked cowardly tactics and Sairen was attacking someone unarmed. Darunia tossed Xavitan her pistol, but Xavitan refused to use it to shoot Sairen, giving him an opportunity to escape.
Later, using a set of mechanical devices that projected a painful sound, Sairen attempted to kill every human in Ginza only for a human scientist to discover one of the devices and shut it off. Sairen soon noticed that the devices were no longer active and identified Yoshiko as the reason, but before he could do anything to her she was protected by the Akumaizer 3. Xavitan demanded to know why his old friend was trying to harm humans, but Sairen refused to answer before fleeing.
Sairen was later set up to be executed by Mezalord in order to lure out Xavitan. When Xavitan came out to rescue his friend, he was captured by Mezalord and his forces. Mezalord ordered Sairen to execute Xavitan as a show of loyalty to the Akuma Clan, but Sairen ultimately refused and gave his own life to rescue Xavitan. Xavitan then used Sairen's Jankler to fight off Mezalord, before using it to mark a grave to his late friend.
