Sakamori Miwa, also known as General Miwa, is a major antagonist of the anime series Tōshō Daimos. He is the general of Earth Defense Force (EDF) and although ostensibly on the side of good, he is in truth a bigot who wants nothing more than seeing all Baams destroyed, using the war between the Baams and Earthlings as an excuse to kill as many as possible.
He was voiced by Tamio Ōki, who had previously voiced Duke Zaki in Voltes V.
Personality[]
Allegedly on the good guys' side, Miwa is in truth a xenophobic bigot who uses the war as an excuse to kill as many as possible under the name of protecting the Earth. He will go to any length possible to destroy the Baams, including killing his own soldiers and innocent people. He is also jealous of the Daimobic Base, trying to brand them as traitors so he can take control of the Daimobic and the Daimos itself so he can kill the Baams easier.
In many ways, Miwa is just as bad as Olban, and proves that not all humans in the show are good.
Biography[]
During the war between the Baams and the Earthlings, Miwa acts as an ally to the Daimobic Base. The relationship is strictly professional though, as Miwa constantly disagrees with the Base's decisions only to be comically proven wrong. Behind the closed doors, Miwa also tries to undermine the heroes, including branding them as traitors, just so he can get promoted.
Miwa's end goal is to take control of the Daimobic and Daimos itself. After Kazuya defeats several Baams, knocking them unconscious, he attempts to rescue them all. However, Miwa takes this opportunity to shoot them dead, much to Kazuya's anger. Finally seeing what Miwa really is, Kazuya punches him so hard that he is knocked unconscious. It's later revealed that he has caused many corruption within the EDF, and is thus facing punishment for his crimes and being stripped of all his ranks.

- In Super Robot Wars Alpha 3, Miwa becomes an ally of Muruta Azrael.
- In Super Robot Wars MX, Miwa works with SEELE during the End of Evangelion endgame plot. He orders around a convict in a double-cockpit Gilgazamune from Metal Armor Dragonar. He and the pilot die after the Gilgazamune is destroyed. Kazuya tries to pity him, but Kyoshiro tells him that he deserved his punishment.
