Sama Ja is one of the major antagonist in the Murim Alliances in the webnovel and Manwha series, Max Level Newbie serving as the main antagonist in Murim Arc. He is a high ranking figure in the Demonic Sect of the Murim Factions, and is a ruthless manipulator who seeks to control and influence aside from just raw power in the Murim Factions.

Given his role as one of the Two Guardians, he is the left guardian and the 3rd in command of the demonic sect. His appearance of attire depicted of a traditional martial arts attire, yet he exudes a menacing and intimidating aura of presence signifying his status as a left guardian.
