Samail was the supporting major antagonist in the 2020 action role-playing fantasy game, Genshin Impact who serves as the main antagonist of the world quest series Golden Slumber. He was the infamous Eremite leader of the faction called "Thutmose", who was once part of Tanit Tribe Expedtion Team alongside his now-departed former comrade, Jebrael after Samail killed his wife, Ufairah.
Appearance[]
Unlike Jeht & Jebrael, Samail takes an appearance of Eremite Sunfrost without any distinguishing features. 
Biography[]
The Gurabad Expedition[]
Samail was a member of The Eremites who lived in the desert. He, alongside Jebrael, were originally part of the Tanit Tribe. Both of them were part of the Expedition Team of the Ruins of Gurabad, sent by Matriarch Babel. Babel's true plans include eliminating the adherents of King Deshret, so she sent Tarafa, the Mole within the Team. Jebrael, witnessing the deaths of his comrades, Umur, Bahaddin, and Rabeed, faked his own death and later strucked down Tarafa before he could target Samail. The expedition of Gurabad, according to Jebrael, was cursed as Tarafa's claims and leaving Jebrael and Samail being the only survivors. After being deceived by the Matriarch of Tanit, The Two Eremites left the Tanit Tribe afterwards, and the irritated Babel considers both of them as Traitors.
Both Jebrael and Samail joined and founded the new Eremite Faction, Thutmose, and they're also given title "The Twin Blades of Thutmose". They were interested in the lost powers of King Deshret and forced the researchers to find the King's Throne. It also implies that Babel's Treacherous Ploy influences Samail's misogynistic beliefs. In which, part of the reason Samail seeks the Throne of King Deshret was to get revenge on Matriarch Babel Tanit. At some point, Jebrael was married to Ufairah Hindi, and he eventually had a daughter named Jeht. Following Jeht's birth, Jebrael began to regret his past actions and sought to leave Thutmose with his family. Unfortunately, Samail had murdered Ufairah Hindi, as he felt Jebrael's love for Ufairah was an "Infection" that made him "weak". Ultimately, Jebrael still left Thutmose to protect Jeht.
