Biography[]

Past[]

Sambash joined the Balban three thousand years ago when they were formed by Captain Zahab to destroy planets for Daitanix to eat and turn into Planet Life Jewels. Sambash quickly grew through the ranks and established his own gang of biker-themed Majin. The Sambash Majin Gang were successful in helping the Balban in thier mission but was sealed away with the rest of the Balban when the original Gingamen defeated Zahab on Earth and placed a seal over them. But prior to being sealed with the others, Sambash encounters Bullblack as he brought the Light of Ginga to Earth for his revenge against the pirates. Sambash extorts what he assumed were the light's location before shooting Bullblack with the Black Knight falling to a pit.

Gingaman[]

In 1997, the seal over the Balban is broken by a mysterious earthquake and they return to being active threats but Daitanix's seal remains intact which forces the Balban to focus on ways to revive him with Zahab offering a massive fortune as a reward to whoever managed to succeed. This causes the Balban generals to start competing using thier separate Majin Corps but, before they start deploying monsters though, Captain Zahab leads them on an attack with the Seamen Yartots only to be intercepted by the new generation of the Gingamen who force them to retreat after a fierce battle. With the new threat, Zahab has to select a general to bring down the Gingamen so the generals present their top monsters to try and impress Zahab with Sambash choosing Kolshizer. However, the general is ultimately decided by a game of poker with Sambash being chosen as the winner when he pulls a joker so he sends Kolshizer to steal petrol to awaken Daitanix.

Most of Sambash's schemes involve finding means to revive Daitanix with energy sources. But Zahab's patience runs thin as Sambash decides to use his last chance go after the Light of Ginga, sacrificing his lackey Neikaa to unearth the cave that the light was held in. Finding the entrance can be open by one with Earth power, Sambash has one of his minions pose as Hyuga to trick Ryoma into doing his dirty work. But the plan falls apart Sambash when is mortally wounded and forced to use the Light of Ginga to save himself, only to realized he was tricked. Laughing at the irony that he wasted his last chance, the dying Sambash tries to kill Ginga Red. Only to be wounded further while he drives off a cliff with his motorcycle exploding in midair.

During the celebrations after the death of Daitanix, the Gingamen recount their adventures to Moak but eventually have trouble remembering their battles. Moak then steps in and recounts their battles against Sambash and his Majin.

Sambash is later resurrected along with the rest of the Balban leaders and many other Majin by Captain Gregory as part of his plan to resurrect the Balban. However, he is killed for good by the Galactic Flash.

Gaoranger vs Super Sentai[]

Captain Zahab, Sambash and Battobas are among the villains recalled by the narrator as a being that threatened the Earth only to be defeated by the various Sentai.

Personality[]

Of the Balban generals, Sambash was the most energetic and loud with an extremely arrogant personality; typically summoning his monsters by blasting a door with his pistol. However, he had a habit of brutally beating his subordinates when they failed him with many of his Majin refusing to retreat from battle and instead growing giant due to fearing his retribution. While intensely loyal to Captain Zahab, Sambash hid knowing the apparent location of the Lights of Ginga from his captain for his own selfish reasons.

Powers and Abilities[]

  • Longevity: Sambash lived for over 3000 years but remained just as capable.
  • Teleportation: Sambash was able to teleport to any location at will by fading in and out of existence.
  • Bike Riding: Being a biker gang-themed villain, Sambash was an excellent motorbike rider.

Arsenal[]

  • Pistol: As his name suggests, Sambash's signature weapon was a six-shooter that seemed to have unlimited ammunition.
  • Motorbike: After snapping when his final plan failed, Sambash emerged on a motorbike and tried to kill Ryouma as a final act of revenge.

Quotes[]

The seal's broken! Look alive!
~ Sambash's first words when ordering the Seamen Yartots to start up the Daitanix after firing his gun into the air.
It's not here! The Light of Ginga isn't here! Why?! Ahahahahahahaha! I get it... So that's what happened... I'm the one who killed the man who brought the Light of Ginga here... But I never dreamed he'd lie where he hid it! The Light of Ginga was never here at all... It was all an act!
~ Sambash's mental breakdown he realized that Kurokishi Bullblack had tricked him.
I hid this from the captain 3000 years ago, expecting to do something big someday. I have nothing else left... But I can still take you with me!
~ Sambash's last words.

Trivia[]

  • Although Sambash's costume was adapted into Power Rangers Lost Galaxy, due to his extensive use of a real gun, no Sentai footage of Sambash was used.
  • Ironically, Sambash was played by Naoki Ofuji; the same suit actor that played BullBlack who saw Sambash as his archenemy.
