Sammy Robinson is a major character featured in the 2016 third-person shooter Mafia III, as well as it's 2020 remaster, and a minor character mentioned in the 2020 third-person shooter Mafia: Definitive Edition.
Biography[]
Background[]
Sammy Robinson was born on February 19th, 1919 alongside his sister, Lily Robinson. His father worked on a farm, but at one point was injured and wasn't able to do manual labor. They then moved to New Bordeaux, Louisiana and met a man named Enzo Conti, whom he became close friends with. Being friends with Conti let Sammy into coming into contact with Salvatore "Sal" Marcano. During this time period, Sammy met a woman who would become famous. However the relationship ended fairly quickly. By the 1930s Sammy had become well known in the criminal underworld, and would get a picture of himself on a cigarette card.
In 1944, Sammy's future wife, Perla Robinson moved to Delray Hollow and fell in love with Sammy. They would soon become married and have a kid, whom they named Ellis Robinson in 1946. In 1958, Sammy was asked by family friend Father James Ballard, who asked them to adopt a boy named Lincoln Clay, which he complied with. In 1961, Perla passed away from unknown causes. Sammy began to run kickback to Marcano from all the shops across Delray Hollow. He would also continuously tell both Ellis and Lincoln to avoid Sinclair Parish at night and a cult ruled by Bonnie Harless.
1968[]
In February of 1968, Sammy greeted Lincoln, who just came home from his tour in Vietnam. Days later, Sammy asked both Lincoln and Ellis to take care of Baka, who had been threatening, robbing and killing people across Delray Hollow. After Baka's assassination, Lincoln goes to visit Sal Marcano, Vito Scaletta and Giorgi Marcano regarding the robbery of a Federal Reserve. Sammy allowed Lincoln to participate, and worked alongside Marcano, Scaletta and Thomas Burke.
After the robbery, Lincoln, Ellis and Danny Burke arrived at Sammy's Bar to go over the money. Soon after, Marcano, Giorgi and Ritchie Doucet arrived. Marcano congratulated Sammy, and asked him to grab some alcohol from the bar. Giorgi then shot Lincoln in the head, while Marcano shot Sammy in the back. Sammy then witnessed Lincoln's unconscious body lying on the floor, Ellis being stabbed multiple times in the gut by Ritchie, and Danny being beaten to death by Giorgi to the head. Sammy then tried to escape by crawling away, but was unsuccessful and shot to death.
Legacy[]
After his, Danny's and Ellis's deaths, Lincoln would go after the Marcano Crime Family, which would cause so much damage that Lincoln inflicted so much damage to New Bordeaux that it caused more damage the the wars and a massive hurricane combined.
