“ | They treated my father like he was nothing, worth more dead than alive. They cut him up like he was not even a man, just spare parts. Spare parts for the rich. In death, he shall live again. | „ |

Biography[]
Early life[]
Sabah, a Dalit, or a citizen of India's lowest caste, worked as an ambulance driver in Mumbai. His father Mahal, a rickshaw driver, was driven personally by Sabah to the hospital for severe dehydration. The hospital, horrifically enough, was in the pocket of Hasina, an organ harvesting crime boss in the local slums. The staff lied to Sabah they'd do their best with Mahal, but as he was a Dalit, they decided he'd be their next victim. Leaving him to die, they cut out his kidney, heart, and corneas to smuggle through the ring. Sabah, devastated, hoped as per Hindu funeral rights, Mahal could be reincarnated before his cremation, snapping once finding out Mahal wasn't in one piece as is required. He decided to target tourists to steal Mahal's missing organs from, to incinerate them himself ritualistically so Mahal would get the funeral rites he deserved.
"Harvested"[]
Sabah kidnaps Will Duncan while he celebrates Holi, cuts his kidney out, and leaves him in Dharavi. Will later dies from heart failure, and shortly after, he tries to snatch a boy named Aidan, only to be stopped by Aidan's father. When he finds better ease in a man named Zak, he takes his cornea and leaves him in Dharavi as well. Sabah places both organs in Mahal's remains, and by this time, Hasina has given enough information about her operations for Sabah to be identified. By this point, he's abducted Travis Barnes and is prepared to cut out his heart. Sabah talks himself into the plan by complimenting his dead father in Hindi. When he loosens Travis' restraints, Travis fights to save himself, but Sabah knocks him down again. Believing he doesn't have much time left, he pours gasoline all over the house and is ready to drop a lantern to start a fire. Agent Jack Garrett of the IRT stops him and Sabah pleads for his father's divinity, after how the hospital left him to die. Just as Garrett flees the house with Travis, Sabah smashes the lantern, incinerating in the arson fire with his father's remains.
Trivia[]
- Sabah is inspired by multiple real-life criminal cases:
- The disproven "attack" of Ahmet Koc, which inspired the infamous "kidney heist" urban legend.
- Devendra Sharma, an Indian serial killer of taxi and truck drivers to steal their kidneys and illegally sell them for profit with his ring of accomplices.
