He was played by the late Mikhail Pugovkin, who also played Fedor's Father in the film 12 Chairs (1971).
Biography[]
In the beginning, he sat on the train to go to Yuzhnogorsk. In Yuzhnogorsk, the fellow travelers part ways: Kostya goes to live with his aunt, and speculators San Sanych Murashko and his accomplice Stepan also get there by chance. For the time being, Kostya and the speculators do not know that they live in the same house (the entrances to their housing are from different sides). Ten days later, San Sanych finds out that Tanya won 20 thousand, and he remembers that she gave Kostya her ticket. He decides to find Kostya to give him an ultimatum: either the guy gives him half of the winnings, or he will not be silent if the case goes to court. On the way, San Sanych, being sure that Kostya does not know anything about the winnings yet, changes the plan, deciding to take the ticket and not share it with anyone. Kostya is not at home, Stepan goes to him and finds a book, there is no coupon. Kostya returns and notices San Sanych: it turns out that they live in the same house. San Sanych brings Kostya to his room, they check his book, but there is no coupon in it either. San Sanych, confident that Stepan managed to pick up the ticket, explains to Kostya that he took his book by mistake, with an inscription on the title page, and Kostya's book was also taken by mistake by one of their fellow travelers in the compartment.
