Sango Amon is a major villain in the Yakuza/Like A Dragon series.

Appearance[]

Sango Amon has long sideburns with a tall and muscular build. In Yakuza 2, he has dark brown slicked-back hair with an undercut, in Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth, he reuses Shin Amon's facial features along with his brothers for unknown reasons.

His attire consists of a wide brimmed black hat with a large hat band, black lensed silver frame aviator sunglasses, a black button down shirt, black slacks, black leather oxfords, and a black carcoat style overcoat.

Personality[]

Sango is a cold-hearted and cruel man who puts the needs of the Amon clan above all else, refusing to tell his victims who hired him. He takes a liking to Kazuma Kiryu after being defeated by him and joins Majima Construction while telling him that another Amon will take the kill.

Aside from that, little else is known about his personality, however he excuses Kiryu for not being able to bring Masayoshi Tanimura to a showdown in Yakuza 5, as he trusts that the new ally they brought would be a worthy challenger. Before his fight with Tanimura, he talks down to him, calling him a cocky little brat.

Biography[]

Yakuza 2/Yakuza Kiwami 2[]

Sango Amon appears in the mission/substory of the same name to fight Kazuma Kiryu after his brothers Kazuya Amon and Jiro Amon are defeated.

In Yakuza Kiwami 2, after all Amons are defeated, he can be recruited for Majima Construction. He is found near a vending machine on an undeveloped patch of land on Pink Street, just north of the Poppo on Showa Street, he is willing to join Majima Construction to make sure Kiryu is only killed by an Amon.

Yakuza 4[]

Sango appears in the final substory of Yakuza 4 to challenge Masayoshi Tanimura after Taiga Saejima fights Jiro Amon, however he is defeated by Tanimura.

Yakuza 5[]

Sango appears once again in the final substory of Yakuza 5, though this time he challenges Tatsuo Shinada because of Tanimura's absence, however he is yet again defeated.

Trivia[]

The Amon brothers' first names have a number theme. Sango, who is the youngest of the trio and the third fought in all his appearances, has the kanji "三" (three) in his name.
Unlike any of the other Amon brothers, Sango Amon is able to levitate in his Yakuza 5 battle against Tatsuo Shinada.
