Sao Feng is a supporting character in the 2007 film Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End. He is the Chinese Pirate Lord of the South China Sea, as well as one of the nine Pirate Lords. He is the captain of the Empress.

He was portayed by Chow Yun-fat, who also played Cao Cao in Romance of the Three Kingdoms.

After Jack Sparrow is "killed" by the Kraken, Will Turner goes to Singapore to steal a map which leads inside Davy Jones' chest with Jack with it. However, he is captured and taken to the bathhouse where Sao Fang is waiting for Elizabeth Swann and Hector Barbossa. There Barbossa tries to get Feng's navigation chart and asked for a ship and safe passage through Singapore waters. After a while Sao Feng mentions that Will tried to steal the map, which irritates Elizabeth who reveals their intentions. Barbossa tries to distract Feng with the speech of the meeting of the Brothers' Tribunal who had to decide what to do to stop the East India Trading Company against pirates from all over the world. Feng doesn't want to go to war, so Elizabeth calls him a coward, saying he hid in his bathhouse while his allies were dead. Feng was irritated by the remark, but impressed by Elizabeth's assertiveness, he remains calm and then takes his revenge.

He says he still hasn't figured out where they need to go, to which Will replies that they're trying to save Jack Sparrow. Feng gets annoyed with this, as he has a bad past with Jack. Barbossa tells them that Jack had not named a successor and that he had brought his thaler with him from Luke. But Feng spots a stranger with a fake tattoo on his back, and in a rage he orders his men to attack, to which Elizabeth and Hector draw their weapons and Feng threatens to kill the man with the tattoo. However, it turns out that the man is an EITC spy who breaks into the sauna with other soldiers.

Sao Fang fights the soldiers while also fighting Will and Mr. Mercer overhears the conversation secretly. Will tells Feng that if he wants to make a deal with Beckett, then he needs what Will offers. The two then conclude a deal: Will wants the Black Pearl to free his father from Davy Jones, and Feng can take revenge on Jack Sparrow in exchange. Feng agrees and, providing the charts, provides Will Turner with a ship and crew. When Will Turner meets Barbossa's crew, he says Sao Feng will cover their escape and meet them at Shipwreck Cove. However, Sao Feng makes his deal, in which he would turn against Will and claim the Black Pearl for himself.

After rescuing Jack from Davy Jones' chest, they land on the Island where Feng told Will to land. Jack, Barbossa and the crew are taken prisoner as Sao Feng and Will Turner reveal their alliance. After a brief discussion, Feng addresses Sparrow to Lord Cutler Beckett's flagship, the Endeavour. After Jack is handed over to Beckett, Feng betrays Will, but Mercer tells them that Beckett is holding the Black Pearl. Barbossa then convinces Sao Feng to join them by revealing that she intends to free Calypso, the bound goddess in human form from the First Brethren Court so they can fight Beckett. Feng believes that Calypso is Elizabeth and therefore agrees to help them in exchange for having her girlfriend. Since she is the only hope for the safety of the crew, Elizabeth agrees to go with Sao Feng.

On her ship, the Empress, Feng reveals to Elizabeth that he believes she is Calypso and that the First Court imprisoned the sea goddess and that the Brothers would free her once they arrived at Shipwreck Cove. Elizabeth pretends to be such a goddess and asks what she can do for him to be free, to which Feng replies after she asks him if he refused to bestow her favors, that he would freak out before forcefully kissing her, to which Elizabeth rejects disgusted.

When Sao Feng approaches her in anger, the Flying Dutchman attacks with canons and fire. When the fury subsides, Elizabeth sees the dying Sao Feng impaled to death. Before dying he gives her his piece of eight and declares her captain to the Empress, telling her that she must take his place in the Brethren Court so that "Calypso" will be free. His last words are his apology to Elizabeth; “Forgive me, Calypso”.
