Sasori Monster (サソリモンスター Sasori Monsutā, lit. Scorpion Monster) is a minor antagonist of Uchuu Keiji Gavan who appears in episode 4. It is a scorpion-like BEM Kaiju who helps Makuu to retrieve the Demon Helm.
It is voiced by late Eisuke Yoda, who also voiced Volcano Mask General Magman in Himitsu Sentai Gorenger, Shine in J.A.K.Q. Dengekitai, Führer Taboo in Dai Sentai Goggle V, and Lu-Long, Parchis, Demost and Silver Shark in Sekai Ninja Sen Jiraiya.
Biography[]
When Professor Kaminaga and his team of archeologists found the Demon Helm in the cave, Sasori Monster appears to threaten them into giving the three orbs to the Makuu to help them retrieve the artifact. One of the members of archeologist team ended up getting killed from being bitten in the monster's stinger after he impulsively attacked one of the Crushers, which the Hunter Killer used this as a threat to Professor Kaminaga and his team about what happens if they don't comply and do what the Makuu demands. However, Kojiro Oyama tricking them into following their orders for him and his team escape, but Professor Kaminaga and the rest of his team ended up getting trapped inside the cave, leaving Kojiro to escape with the orbs.
While Kojiro is on the pursuit from the Hunter Killer, Sasori Monster and the soldiers, Retsu went to fight the Crushers and accepts Kojiro's request to keep the orbs away from them. The monster attacked Retsu, which he transformed into Gavan and kicked it with a Spiral Kick before it was ordered by the Hunter Killer to retreat.
When Retsu discovered that fake Professor Kaminaga he just encountered was actually a Double Man in disguise who is looking for the Demon Helm, Sasori Monster and the soldiers arrived to back him up. After Retsu transformed into Gavan again and fought with them, Gavan, Sasori Monster and the Double Man were ended up getting dragged into Makuu Space. While they're fighting, the Sasori Monster attempt to throw Gavan a rock and fired him an electric beam. Even though the monster turned invisible, Gavan managed to find the Sasori Monster with a Laser Scope and finished him off with Laser Z Beam.
