Sasro Zabi is a minor antagonist in the manga series Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin and its OVA adaptation. He was the second eldest son of Degwin Sodo Zabi. Sasro was the director of the Zeon Party's national campaign department and a chief propagandist, manipulating public opinion.
He was voiced by Shinshu Fuji in Japanese and Braeden Fox in English.
Biography[]
He is first seen in a lineup of Munzo politicians and Zabi family members, Degwin, Gihren, Dozle, and Kycilia when the Deikuns first see Zeon Zum Deikun's corpse. Later, at the Zabi family home, he chastises Kycilia for allowing the Deikun family to flee with Ramba Ral, and violently slaps her, drawing blood, to which only Dozle objects. He then leaves the scene with Gihren after stating that eliminating the Ral family is the only way to deal with them, which shocks Sasro.
During Zeon Zum Deikun's funeral, Dozle questions Sasro about slapping Kycilia, who responded that she was getting too full of herself. While Dozle wanting the Zabi family to get along, Sasro tells him off for being too soft. He is then killed in a car bomb, Dozle kicks down the door and yells angrily and has lacerations on his face and body.
While Zabi supporters blamed the Ral family for the assassination of Sasro, it is implied that Kycilia planted a bomb in the car as revenge for him slapped her.
Personality[]
Sasro is a very strict short-tempered man, even towards own family, slapping his sister Kycilia as punishment for foiling his plans and telling off Dozle for trying to be a good person.

- Sasro was first mentioned in the 1979-1981 Mobile Suit Gundam novel series and makes a cameo appearance in the manga Mobile Suit Gundam The Plot to Assassinate Gihren.
