The Sixth Spear, Satarakura is a member of the Seven Darkness Spears of the Jakanja and a major antagonist in Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger. He is the commander of the Jakanja's Masked Ninja Corps, and Tau Zant's second second-in-command, succeeding Sargain and preceeding Sandaaru. He tried multiple plans and schemes during the series to help his master Tau Zant destroy the Rangers and invoke the Evil Will to help Jakanja destroy and recreate the universe under Tau Zant's control.
He is one of Tau Zant's top generals and just like all other Tau Zant's servants, Satarakura was tasked by his master to find the Evil Will, which would aid Tau Zant in his plans of destroying and recreating the universe, with Tau Zant as a god. Satarakura played the role of the trickster and planner for most of the series. He proved to be more powerful than all previous Spears before him combined, making him the second most powerful Spear overall in the series. Satarakura was one of the Hurricanegers' and Gouraigers' archenemies and one of the their most powerful and primary enemies.
He is voiced by Bin Shimada, who previously voiced Paptimus Scirocco and later voiced his son Satarakura Jr. in Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger.
History[]
Satarakura was called in by Tau Zant to replace Chuuzubo after the latter's demise. Before his introduction, he sent gifts to the other four Dark Spears aboard Centipede, which actually contained pies that would hit their faces once the gift was opened. All the Dark Spears except Manmaruba, who had future-seeing abilities, opened their gifts. Tau Zant tasked Satarakura in destrying the Hurricanegers and Gouraigers, to take over the Earth and evoke the Evil Will, which would help Jakanja destroy and recreate the universe under Tau Zant's control. For this goal, Satarakura created numerous plans to defeat the Rangers and find the Evil Will for his master.
For his initial scheme, he sent down his Masked Ninja Jin-Giron to turn humans into exclamation marks and use them as fuel to create a bomb. To keep the Hurricanegers and Gouraigers occupied, Satarakura captured them all inside a box and made them participate in a game show where they would have to answer riddles or the floor beneath would slowly open up over a lava pit. To keep them from escaping, Satarakura made it so an explosion would be set off whenever they transformed. However, the Hurricanegers and Gouraigers were able to escape by all transforming at precisely the same time, using the explosion to blow away the walls of the box. After getting free, the Hurricanegers were able to destroy Jin-Giron and thwart Satarakura's scheme.
Throughout the season, Satarakura tried multiple schemes and plans to defeat and destroy the Hurricanegers and Gouraigers and help Jakanja take over the Earth and obtain the Evil Will. His most formidable plan was to use the trio of demonic space wolf monsters, known as Ninja Wolf Beasts Fangol to eat the people's shadows in the city, to cause chaos in the town and prepare the Earth for the second meteor shower via Tau Zant's plan to evoke the Evil Will. Satarakura used a special whistle to control the monsters. The demonic wolves attacked the city and started eating people's shadows, making people become savage and lose their humanity and act as a wolves. When the Rangers tried to interfere, the wolves ran to the forest and the heroes arrived to the forest to defeat the monsters. The Rangers met Shurikenger and the Green Ranger told the Rangers everything about the wolf monsters, that they ate he people's shadows and made the people act as a wolves. Then the Rangers encountered the monsters. At first the trio of demonic wolves overpowered the heroes, but then the wolves returned to the city to find more victims. The Rangers ran to the city to stop the beasts, but then Satarakura, Sargain, Wendinu and Furabiijo arrived and attacked the Rangers. The Rangers fought the villains, but then Shurikenger informed the Rangers that the villains merely distracted them, while werewolves returned to the city and consumed more people's shadows. The Rangers escaped and returned to the city. However, then Gouraigers arrived together, the heroes fought the demon wolves once again. This time Hurricanegers and Gouraigers more successfully fought the monsters. Even though the wolves again overpowered the ninjas at first, but then the superheroes managed to beat them by realizing the weakness of the monsters and using it against them. The wolves were destroyed, but then Satarakura again summoned and resurrected his demonic pets and they united into the giant three headed wolf monster, named Fangerus. Also, the victims of the monsters turned into the werewolves themselves and started infecting more people in the city, turning them into the werewolves. The Fangerus overpowered the Gourai Senpujin, but then he splitted back into the three Fangol when Satarakura's whistle was broken. Once Satarakura fixed the whistle, the Fangol merged back into Fangerus and resumed attacking the city and fighting the Hurricanegers and Gouraigers, who were now in their Shinobi Machines as humans. This was until Revolver Mammoth arrived, with the wolves being the first to be killed by Revolver Gourai Senpuujin. Eventually, the Rangers were able to stop the Jakanja's plan of conquering Earth and obtaining Evil Will once again, stopping the apocalypse and foiling the villains' plan once more.
When Sandaaru arrived on Centipede, Satarakura immediately became enamored by him after he demonstrated his power. He joined Furabiijo in fawning over the Seventh Dark Spear.
After the Jakanja obtained the Raging Arrow and Grieving Bow, Tau Zant tasked Satarakura with using the Jyakumu Gun to harvest the energies of sadness and anger from people so Tau Zant could use it to assume a suitable form to wield both with. When the Hurricanegers interfere with his attempts to suck up energy, Tau Zant fuses the Gun to Satarakura's wrist to keep the energy from being lost. However, feeling betrayed, Satarakura began to use the energy for his own purposes, prompting Tau Zant to send Sandaaru to go recover the energy. Sandaaru seized the backpack containing the energy before slashing Satarakura and knocking off his mask. His mask shattered, Satarakura went completely insane proclaims he hated everyone, including the Jakanja. He grew giant, but Shurikenger summoned Tenkuujin to hold him off. Shurikenger was able to defeat Satarakura by having Tenkuujin self-destruct, obliterating both himself and Satarakura.
Revived Satarakura
He was revived in the finale alongside the other Seven Dark Spears by the Evil Will to face off against the Hurricanegers and Gouraigers one last time. He and Sandaaru both fought HurricaneRed. After being beaten back, Satarakura was finished off alongside the other Dark Spears by a combined slash attack from the Hurricanegers and Gouraigers.
Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger Vs. Gaoranger[]
After the Jakanja stole the Gaorangers' powers, Satarakura became GaoRed.
Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger[]
Sometime after his death, his son, Satarakura Jr. emerged to take on the Gokaigers, vowing to avenge his father. However, Satarakura Jr. was still defeated and failed to destroy the Rangers.
Personality[]
Satarakura is an extremely cunning, calm, sadistic, manipulative and deceptive. He is an extremely humorous and very comedic, and always takes his missions lightly and humorously. Despite his comical and amusing personality and antics, he is a treacherous and merciless trickster. He enjoys taunting and abusing Hurricanegers and Gouraigers and is fond of creating the deadly traps and troubles for his enemies, like what he did to them in his first appearance. Satarakura is also highly creative and enjoys playing games with his enemies, especially with using humor and jokes, and taunting his opponents by tricking them and making them play in his games. Also his games always use cheating and deception, and it's actually impossible to win in his competitions. He is also highly intelligent, cunning, resourceful and is a skilled planner and trickster and is able to create cunning plans and tactics to deceive his enemies. Despite being a villain, Satarakura is highly comedic and parody villain, and serves as the comic relief of the season, in contrast to his serious and sinister master Tau Zant and devious and treacherous Sandaaru, as well as the serious and determined Sargain. While he was an extremely comedic and playful for the most of the season, when Sandaaru attacked Satarakura, and broke his mask, Satarakura became insane and full of anger, determined to get revenge on both sides, the Rangers and Jakanja. He became wrathful and deranged and fought Shurikenger, eventually forcing Shurikenger to sacrifice himself to destroy Satarakura. However, his death was arguably deserved, because of his horrible crimes and actions, and due to him was a destructive, insane and manipulative psychopath. Despite his comedic and mischievous nature, Satarakura is a dangerous, destructive and chaotic psychopath, depraved of empathy and compassion to others. He enjoys causing pain and suffering to others and is highly heinous and depraved. Overall, he has no redeeming qualities. However, Satarakura also has one possible redeeming factor, which wasn't shown in the series. It was revealed in the Gokaiger that he had a son, called Satarakura Jr., who wanted to get revenge on the Gokaigers fr his father's death. Their relationships weren't shown in the series, and so it's unknown if Satarakura loved and cared about his son. However, if it was confirmed that Satarakura indeed cared about his son, that would serve as the redeeming quality and make him Protective.
Powers and Abilities[]
Satarakura possesses multiple powers and abilities, due to his status as Tau Zant's second-in-command and the sixth spear. He is more powerful than all previous spears combined, and is overall the second most powerful spear in the series, after Sandaaru and is overall the third most powerful villain in Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger.

- Superhuman Strength: Satarakura is superhumanly strong and is capable of taking Hurricanegers, Gouraigers and Shurikenger at once.
- Expert Fighter: Satarakura is an extremely skilled fighter able to fight and overpower both teams of the Rangers.
- Teleportation: Satarakura is able to teleport to any location at will.
- Lightning Beams: Satarakura can fire the powerful lightning beams from his hands.
- Ninja Wolf Beasts Summoning: Satarakura can summon a powerful wolf-like monsters called Ninja Wolf Beasts to aid him in battle.
Arsenal[]
- Satora Riddle Cards: Uses these cards to trap the rangers into a room, where he hosts a game show, about the rangers allies and weapons.
- Red Energy Beams: Is capable of firing red energy beams from his hands, his eyes, and his sword.
- Karakuri Giant Giant Musasabistal: Satarakura can pilot his very own Karakuri Giant, at will, to defeat the Hurricanegers.
- Everybody Magnet: Uses his masks to revive Space Ninja.
- Satora Shadow Clone: Creates five duplicates to fight alongside him.
- Ninja Wolf Beasts Fangol Whistle: Satarakura carries a whistle that he can blow to increase the Fangol's strength.
- Paradise Sword: Satarakura possesses a paradise-themed sword to aid him in combat. It is powerful enough to take down all of the Rangers in a single hit.
- Sword Lasers: Satarakura can fire red colored energy lasers from his Paradise Sword.
