Saw Despar is one of the Despar Army's Robot Fighters and an antagonist in episodes 2 and 16 of Inazuman Flash.
He is voiced in episode 2 by Masao Hosoi, who previously voiced Photo Banbara and would later voice Lamprey Mask in Himitsu Sentai Gorenger. In episode 16 he is voiced by Eisuke Yoda, who also voiced Führer Taboo in the Super Sentai series, and Geludoling and Demost in the Metal Heroes series.
Biography[]
Saw Despar was tasked by Führer Geisel with kidnapping athletes from across Japan so they could be set loose in a field for Geisel, Udespar and several Despar Soldiers to hunt them in a "safari". As he was hunting athletes, Saw Despar was caught by Goro but requested that they delay their battle to tomorrow before escaping to continue his mission. Goro refused and demanded to know more, but Saw Despar escaped by using a smoke bomb as a distraction.
Saw Despar would later take part in a scheme to take out several members of the Youth League, first by shooting arrows with infrared markers at the houses of suspected Youth League members. Once the arrows were all in place, Saw Despar and Udespar activated a machine which went out and fired lightning bolts at them, destroying the houses.
After Goro found the site where Despar was hunting humans and was injured by Geisel, Saw Despar was summoned to finish him off. He was defeated when Goro became Inazuman Flash and destroyed him using his Zeber.
The second Saw Despar.
A second Saw Despar would later be produced and assigned to a mission to kidnap Maya K, an Interpol agent who was the partner of Makoto Arai, when she came to Japan. After she was abducted and brainwashed by Sadespar, the Despar Army had her get close to Makoto so she could assassinate him. The brainwashed Maya held a knife to Makoto's throat but Makoto managed to get free, at which point Saw Despar appeared with a squad of Despar Soldiers to attack him. It was at that point that Inazuman arrived and fought Saw Despar while Makoto struggled with Maya. After Makoto was unable to break Maya's brainwashing, he and Inazuman fled the scene.
Saw Despar was later tasked with overseeing a scheme to use a device built by Dr. Kujo, a human scientist who had sided with the Despar Army, to cause mass devastation throughout a city. However, Goro and Makoto both managed to track down the location from with Saw Despar and his forces planned to use the device, leading Saw Despar to run away with it. Goro chased him down until the two reached the side of the ocean, at which point Goro had become Inazuman and the two fought. While Makoto faced Maya again, Inazuman used his Zeber to call a lightning strike on Saw Despar, causing him to fall into the ocean before exploding.
