The Scadutree Avatar is a major antagonist and an optional boss in the 2022 dark fantasy action role-playing video game DLC Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. As its name would suggest, it is the avatar of the Scadutree, acting as its protector as well as the guardian of Miquella's Great Rune.
Appearance[]
In contrast to the Erdtree Avatar, which has a much more humanoid appearance, the Scautree Avatar appears to be a large, brittle sunflower with thorns covering itself and vines scattered across its entire body.
History[]
Very little is known about the Scadutree Avatar regarding its origin, though it can be presumed it was born sometime around the creation of the Erdtree and its shadow. It is said to have been born with no sense of order, leaving it in a twisted, brittle state. At some point, it had came into possession of Miquella's Great Rune after Miquella himself had disregarded and left it in its current state.
