Scaleman is the secondary antagonist of the Gameboy Proportion of the 2003 video game, Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc.
He was one of the many Hoodlums who was created and unleashed to work alongside the Robo-Pirates after Razorbeard captured Globox and found a way to use André's power to create them while thinking of a way to extract him from Globox. As a Hoodlum, he serves as the Hoodlum commander where he collaborates with Razorbeard in helping him achieving his goal to attempt to regain their control of the Glade and defeat Rayman.
Biography[]
When a Black Lum, André, was accidentally swallowed by Globox while trying to save a tribe of Teensies before running off in fear of being taken to a doctor, Razorbeard and the remnants of the Robo-Pirates heard the news about this with Razorbeard intending to extract André to devour him with a plan to have much power to regain control of the Glade of Dreams. Once Globox was captured, Razorbeard found a way to unleash the Black Lum's power that resulted into creating an army of Hoodlums with Scaleman chief among them. In spite of Razorbeard's plan to extract and consume André, they served him and collaborated with him regardless as Scaleman built his personal keep in the Pirate Stronghold while the Hoodlums built the Hoodlum Hideout at Clearleaf Forest.
When Rayman cleared out the Hoodlum Hideout, Scaleman had the remaining Hoodlum variaties consisting of Spinneroos and Black Lums to work alongside the Robo-Pirates. On his way, Rayman eventually defeats the remaining Hoodlums as well as the remaining Black Lums that had yet to generate into Hoodlums where he would get to Scaleman's keep to defeat him as the only remaining Hoodlum left. In his boss battle, he will first roll in the area to try to hit Rayman until he stops to catch his breath. Once he shrinks temporarily, he will try to charge towards Rayman until Rayman stomps on him. Once this occured two times, Scaleman will use bounce attacks by perform his long bounce attack to target Rayman and later on prepare his short bounce attack to follow hit when he received more damage. Once his health is completely gone, Scale loses control of his breath and explodes to death.
After his defeat, Rayman travels through to rescue Globox and defeated the rest of the Robo-Pirates and Razorbeard in his personal new Grolgoth and Globox spitting André outmof him, putting his plan to retake the Glade of Dreams in vain.
Trivia[]
- During the development of Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc, Scaleman was called the Kagalpha and was originally intended to be a boss character in the factory section of the Hoodlum Headquarters. For unknown reasons he was cut from the final game, but remains intact in the Gameboy Advanced proportation as he is renamed Scaleman.
