Scandal Savage, also known as Marquise, is a minor antagonist in the DC Universe.

She is the daughter of Vandal Savage, a member of the Secret Six, and a meta-human with the ability to regenerate much faster than normal humans. During the DC All In event, she became the new leader of the Injustice Society. Scandal has also a polyamorous relationship with the New God Knockout and the exotic dancer Liana Kerzner. Eventually, they invited Catman to be their donor so they could have a child together.

History[]

Scandal was born in Brazil and is the only one of Vandal Savage's children he considers his heir. He has trained her in combat since she was a young child. However, she hasn't quite followed in her dad's footsteps, and hasn't led a civilian's life either. After being blackmailed by the Riddler, who threatened to kill her two wives, Scandal was forced to do his bidding as the villain kidnapped Thomas Blake aka the Catman. Fearing for Blake's sanity, Scandal brought him a kitten to keep him company in his solitary jail cell. Later, in company with two other mercenaries, Ragdoll and Jeannette, Scandal was forced to battle the Secret Six. With neither team wanting to harm the other, they developed a mutual respect, especially when the Secret Six brought the Riddler to justice. Scandal subsequently offered to look after the young Secret Six member Black Alice, when it seemed as if she was being pursued by nearly every sorcerer in the world.

A character similar to Scandal named Cassandra Savage appears in the Arrowverse series Legends of Tomorrow, portrayed by Jessica Sipos. She is the daughter of Vandal Savage from the year 2166, and served as a his lieutenant until the Legends revealed he killed her mother, eventually convincing Cassandra to betray him.
Scandal Savage appears as a character summon in Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure.

Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay[]

Scandal Savage appears in the DCAMU film Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay, voiced by Dania Ramirez.

Young Justice[]

A version of Cassandra Savage appears in Young Justice, voiced by Zehra Fazal. She was introduced in the third season, subtitled Outsiders. This version was inspired by Scandal Savage and takes the name Cassandra from her Arrowverse counterpart. Cassandra is a member of League of Shadows and a loyal lieutenant in her father's quest for world domination.

In her childhood, Vandal Savage took Cassandra away from her mother and she was raised by her sister Olympia. Years later, Vandal killed Olympia due to her old age and senility. Cassandra assumed her mother was dead, but eventually found out she was still alive and had two other kids. In the fourth season, Cassandra appears having to have gone partially blind and lost an arm. She claims it was due to betraying her father, while Onyx claims it was from a failed mission to capture Killer Croc. In "The Lady or The Tigress?", she is revealed to be perfectly fine and is still working for the League of Shadows.
