...until Zazu interferes.

“Oh dear, I've said too much...”

“And remember... it's our little secret.”

Scar scowls with fury after Mufasa saves Simba and Nala from the hyenas.

"Oh, surely we lions aren't all that bad." Scar reveals himself to the hyenas.

"I'm surrounded by idiots."

"I don't think you really deserve this."

"I practically gift-wrapped those cubs for you..."

"...and you couldn't even dispose of them."

(Banzai: "What're we supposed to do? Kill Mufasa?")

"Precisely." Scar's evil grin.

Scar begins the song, 'Be Prepared'

"I know that your powers of retention..."

"...are as wet as a warthog's backside."

"But thick as you are, PAY ATTENTION!"

"My words are a matter of pride."

"It's clear seen from your vacant expressions, the light are not all upstairs."

"But here we're talking kings and successions."

"Even you can't be caught unawares."

"Prepare for a chance of a lifetime."

"Be prepared for sensational news."

"A shining new era..."

"...is tiptoeing nearer."

(Shenzi: And where do we feature?) "Just listen to teacher."

"I know it sounds sordid but you'll be rewarded when at last when I've given my dues..."

"Idiots! There will be a king."

"Stick with me,..."

"...and you'll never go hungry again!"

"Of coarse, quid pro quo, you're expected, to take certain duties on board."

"Be prepared!" Scar's evil laugh.

Scar lures Simba into the gorge and telling him to wait there for Mufasa.

(Simba: Hey, Uncle Scar, will I like the surprise?) "Simba, it's to DIE for!"

"Mufasa. Quick. Stampede in the gorge. Simba's down there!". Scar tricks Mufasa into saving Simba from the stampede.

The brothers and Zazu racing towards the gorge.

Scar pretends that he is concerned for Simba at the midst of the stampede

Mufasa pleading for Scar's help.

Scar stares for a moment.

Then he jabs his claws into Mufasa's paws.

"Long live the king." - Scar showing his true nature to a horrified Mufasa with his last words to his brother.

Scar throws Mufasa to his death.

Scar "comforting" Simba after Mufasa's death.

"Run away, Simba. Run. Run away and never return."

"Kill him."

(Simba: No, I'm not a murderer!) "Oh, Simba, you're in trouble again."

"But this time, daddy isn't here to save you."

"And now everyone knows..."

"...WHY!!"

"Now, this looks familiar. Hmm. Where have I seen this before? Let me think. Hmmm... hmmm."

"Oh! Yes, I remember! This is just the way your father looked before he died."

Scar digging his claws into Simba's paws.

"And here's my little secret."

"I killed Mufasa..."

Simba chokes Scar into revealing that he killed Mufasa.

"I did it."

"I killed Mufasa!"

Scar sees that Simba found him.

Scar chased by Simba...

...but stops just in time at the edge of a cliff, now trapped.

"Simba, please. Mercy, I beg you.” (Simba: You don't deserve to live.)

"But, Simba, I am... uh... family!"

"It was the hyenas who are the real enemies. It was their fault! It was their idea!"

("Simba: Why should I believe you? Everything you ever told me was a lie.")

"What are you gonna do? You wouldn't kill your own uncle?" (Simba: No, Scar, I'm not like you.)

"Oh, Simba, thank you! You're truly noble. I will make it up to you. I promise!"

"How can I prove myself to you?"

"Just tell me anything."

(Simba: Run. Run away, Scar, and never return.)

"Yes." - Scar's breakdown.

"Of course."

"As you wish..."

"...YOUR MAJESTY!" Scar throws ashes at Simba.

Scar fights with Simba.

Simba and Scar fighting each other for the fate of the Pride Lands.

Scar prepare to knock Simba down.

Scar roaring ferociously as he lunges at Simba ready to deliver the would be killing blow and about to be flipped into the edge of Pride Rock.

Scar's eyes widen with horror upon seeing the hyenas have turned against him for blaming Mufasa's murder on them.

"No! L-L-Let me explain! No, you don't understand! No, I didn't mean it! I— No! No! Look, I'm sorry I called you— No! NO!

Scar mauled to death by his own hyenas apart for his lies and treachery.
