Scarabeth is one of the Gaia Soldiers produced by Crown and an antagonist in episode 19 of Shichisei Toshin Guyferd.
He is played by Toru Edomatsu, who previously played Volgis.
Biography[]
Scarabeth was originally a Metalferd who was upgraded by Zodiac into a Gaia Soldier using the Tablet of Daruga. He was sent by Zodiac to obtain the Hokushin papers in the possession of Gou and his allies, which Zodiac and Kuzan needed to unlock the full power of the divine artifacts. Scarabeth was thus loaned to Hattori, the head of the archeological research center who had teamed up with Crown in order to prove his own research. Hattori had Scarabeth round up all of the employees in the building and capture them to prevent them from interfering.
When Gou, Shiroishi, Rei and Yuu came to the center hoping to get the Hokushin papers translated, Hattori took the papers from them and told them he would do so, only to pass them on to Zodiac. However, as he was leaving, Gou noticed Scarabeth in a window of the building and returned to it to investigate. While his friends freed the people Scarabeth and Hattori had taken hostage, Gou faced off against Scarabeth. Scarabeth initially got the better of Gou with his tough physical strength, but after Gou became Guyferd the odds began to even. He was destroyed by Guyferd with several charged kicks but, despite this, Crown still succeeded in their goal of obtaining the Hokushin papers.
