Scavengers, commonly known Scavs, are an antagonistic organization from the Cyberpunk franchise. They are known to kidnap people so they can extract their organs and cybernetic implants. They are one of the most dangerous gangs in Night City, only being challenged by Maelstrom.

Beliefs & Practices[]

Composed of the most immoral individuals in Night City, Scavengers do not addere to any particular philosophy or moral code. They only care about profit and themselves, being more than willing to get their hands dirty.

Scavengers prefer to speak in European languages, rather than english. They also like to listen to Russian music. Their Russian aesthetic has led people to believe that they have connections to the Soviet Union or that the gang itself was created by the Soviets as a tool to make money.

Uniform & Clothing[]

Scavengers are recognized by their tracksuits, Soviet cyberware, and criminal tattoos. Some of them wear hologram masks to protect their identity.

Criminal Activity & Behavior[]

Scavengers tend to operate in small groups that are scattered all throughout Night City, with no known official headquarters or designated turf, although they do have a more concentrated presence in northern Pacifica and southern Wellsprings. They have a habit of marking their presence with tags and Russian graffiti.

They are also known for their lack of structure and hierarchy, with each group having the freedom to decide who will be their leader, rather than have one appointed by the gang's higher ups. It's unknown if the gang has an official top leader. The fact that they are so spread out across the city with little to no leadership, makes it incredibly difficult for the police or anyone else to cause any lasting damage to the gang and their operations.

Their main source of income comes from their near-total monopoly on the black market for organs and cyberware, allowing them to act as the primary suppliers for low-cost cyberware to other gangs, petty criminals, and shady ripperdocs. Their victims, or "donors" as Scavs call them, are often never found, because they usually either manage to sell the victim's entire body or get rid of any leftovers.

Scavs primarily prey on the unsuspecting and law-abiding citizens of Night City, however they also target other gangsters and dead bodies. Hospital patients are also targeted through the use of insiders (such as doctors, paramedics and nurses) who are interest in some extra cash.

The gang also performs other services, including: heists, hit jobs and abductions. As long as they are compensated, Scavs will accept any job with no questions asked.
