Schilalyi is a demonic being from Roma folklore, taking the form of a white she-mouse with multiple legs. She is the fifth child of Ana and the King of the Loçolico, and is the embodiment of chills and cold fevers.
Biography[]
Birth and Marriage[]
After Ana’s fourth child, Melalo advised his father to serve her a cooked mouse which the King had spat on, along with soup. Ana fell ill, and as she drank water, Schilalyi crawled out of her mouth. This unnatural birth earned Schilalyi particular loathing from her mother. Schilalyi in turn tormented her brothers and sisters (particularly Melalo, who she abhors even more than Ana and the King) until her husband Bitoso was born.
Personality[]
Like Melalo, her dad and her siblings, Schilalyi is cruel and mean, but is far more livid to Melalo and the King as opposed to Ana after her birth, and takes great delight in inflicting freezing pain on her victims.
However, because of her loneliness and lashing out at loathing, spite and misery, Schilalyi does has a sweeter and far more caring side that is revealed after Bitoso's birth, which is something she is thankful to Ana for. This reveals that Schilalyi, despite seeing Bitoso as the weakest, most benevolent and harmless of the nine, loves Bitoso with all her heart.
Lastly, Schilalyi has a strong sense of honor, and when her infliction is countered via mouse lungs and stomachs steeped in alcohol, Schilalyi accepts defeat well.
