I keep telling myself I don't have room for anymore...but you would go so nicely right here!
~ Scientist about to make Soundwave as one of the many "figurines" in his souvenir collection
You know, being a Quintesson isn't as glamorous as you might think. Judging and condemning universes seems like it would be satisfying. But the work is never done. So I really enjoy our little game.
~ Scientist revealing he doesn't even gain pleasure from assisting the Quintessons in their omnicidal scheme anymore.

The Scientist is a major antagonist in Transformers: Cyberverse, serving as the secondary antagonist of the Quintesson Invasion arc of Season 3. He is the dangerously sadistic scientist of the Quintessons, having developed the very tools the they need to destroy countless universes and their other equipment necessary as well. He is also a big collector of Soundwaves who keeps them as souvenirs for each universe he destroyed.

He was voiced by Dick Terhune.

Personality[]

The Scientist is fanatically devoted to the Quintessons, having been devoted to their plan to wipe out most of the multiverse upon believing there is just too much. This is what makes him one of the most dangerous villains in the series, as even when condemning and destroying multiple universes got boring and stressful due to the endless work, the Scientist is still willingly helping the Quintessons n their plan and developing their equipment. To entertain himself and not get bored, the Scientist engages in a sadistic side hobby of collecting and immobilizing the Soundwave of each destroyed universe and forces them to be figurines, which itself highlights his biggest trait. The Scientist is arguably the most sadistic villain in the entire series, having done vile side habits like this just to keep himself interested in the Quintessons' omnicidal goals and values trying to kill the heroes with as much pleasure as he can. However, as sadistic the Scientist is, he only indulges in his sadistic desires when it doesn't compromise the mission or the schedule, having been against Starscream's pettiness in having Megatron and Optimus Prime answer for his crimes again him to delay the inevitable destruction of the universe. The Scientist is also very intelligent, having showcased it with his echnological prowess as he himself created most of the advanced technology the Quintessons use which have been fairly effective.

Biography[]

The Scientist is a member of the Quintesson Race, a species that wants to put an end to how many universes they can as they deem them too much to exist. The Scientist, who was an organic creature, giddily helps the Quintessons after having adopted a new body after hiding his true self behind the walls. In every universe the Quintessons visit, The Scientist abducts a native to create a Judge, having been behind the brains behind the Quintessons omnicidal plans and developing the tools for them to destroy the universe they deem guilty. He also has a separate knack for himself, kidnapping multiple Soundwaves and then immobilizing them to be his souvenir of each universe that he destroyed for the Quintessons, placing them in a fate worse than death.

The Quintessons eventually arrived in the primary universe, having kidnapped Starscream, sentencing him to death for his ego issues. To save himself, Starscream sells out his entire planet, Cybertron to them, much to the main Judges satisfaction as they order the Scientist to turn him to a Judge. The Scientist then mutilates him to transform into a judge, and then developed a machine. After the Quintessons invade Cybertron, the scientist places everyone in the machine, a loop that slowly sucks their sparks as well as the Allspark to fuel Starscream's transformation into a judge, killing many of them slowly as a result. He also has imprisoned the Titan Starscream used to escape the Ark and brainwashed him to do the Quintessons' bidding, all while leaving him aware of what is happening.

The resistance compromising of the few Autobots that evaded capture or freed themselves with a couple of Decepticons. The 2 leaders, Soundwave and Hot Rod break into his lab. The Scientist greets them as he restrains Soundwave and shows him his collection, horrifying the communications officer on what his fate would be, to which Soundwave attacks the Scientist when he repaired him to place him in a mint condition, and during the battle, ejects Laserbeak to give the instructions to the Resistance on how how to disable the Loop, freeing all who were fortunate to survive. However, as the enraged Scientist tries to attack them in rage, Hot Rod and Soundwave combine their attacks at the new Judge, diverting his attention. The main Judges then scold the Scientist for his failure and for threatening the safety of Judge Starscream.

Upon the main Judges death, Judge Starscream finally emerges as he plans to give the verdict... guilty. As the Autobots and Decepticons are being rounded up, the Scientist asks Starscream to give the official verdict. However, Starscream would only give the official verdict when Optimus Prime and Megatron bow down to his feet, which even the Scientist questioned for being too petty, pleading to forgo that and end the universe now as they are already behind schedule. He then traps Hot Rod and Soundwave in a mindgame to have them fend off against the Cosmic rust under Starscream's orders. When the great War Titan Iaconus was summoned, the Scientist summons the Titan Croaton that the Quintessons brainwashed to their will to handle the War Titan. When Optimus Prime's group returned to reality following Megatron's betrayal, the Scientist dispatched multiple bodies of his bodies to fend them off. However, Wheeljack tracks down thee Scientist's true form. The Scientist summoned multiple defenses but Wheeljack crushes the Scientist and ends him once and for all.
