The Scorched Wildlife are the overall main antagonistic force of the 2018 Online RPG Fallout 76

History

Scorched Wildlife are various creatures infected with the scorched plague which comes from fumes released by a solid substance know as Ultracite (however once something is infected with the plague Ultracite becomes a deadly poison to the host of the virus) but due to the Ores for Ultracite being quarantined in mines the virus couldn't spread. This all changed with the outbreak of the Great War, radiation mutated a colony of Bats into deadly creatures known as Scorchbeasts that began spreading the disease when the Ultracite fumes began attaching to their bodies appearing as a green misty cloud. Various groups began scrambling for a way to stop the disease from spreading however all groups met the same fate either being killed off or becoming infected themselves.

Biology

Anything infected with the plague takes on a fleshy burned appearance (hence the name scorched plague) with Ultracite spores or shards also appearing on the body. Anything infected by the plague will not attack other infected but will attack uninfected even if they are the same species.
