| ~ Scorpius lamenting to his father about how far they had both fallen in the alternate timeline |
Scorpius Hyperion Malfoy is a minor antagonist in the Harry Potter stage production Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. He is the alternate counterpart of Scorpius Malfoy in the timeline he and Albus accidentally create where Voldemort wins, and Harry Potter dies.
Among other actors, he is portrayed by Samuel Blenkin and Anthony Boyle.
Biography[]
After causing Cedric Diggory's loss and humiliation in the second Triwizard Tournament task with a Time Turner, Scorpius and Albus Potter return to the present, only they had done far more damage to the timeline than they had anticipated. Albus no longer exists due to Harry having died in the Battle of Hogwarts, and Voldemort had won. Slytherin is now the only house in Hogwarts and Delores Umbridge is headmistress.
This leads to Scorpius realizing that he had become a totally different person in this timeline. He was labelled as the "Scorpion King" and was the most popular person in school. However, it was at the cost of him being a monster. He was responsible for helping Delores Umbridge ethnically cleanse and eliminate Muggle-borns at Hogwarts, with him even coming up with the idea of having them tortured by him and his fellow students in the Hogwarts dungeons.
However, with the help of Snape, Hermione, and Ron, the main timeline's Scorpius was able to fix the mistakes of himself and Albus by preventing Cedric from losing the Triwizard Tournament. This caused his Scorpion King counterpart to be wiped from history completely, along with the entire bad timeline, and for things to return to normal. However, he was almost brought back through Delphini's efforts to save Voldemort, but fortunately, this never happened thanks to him, Albus, Harry, Draco, Ginny, Hermione, and Ron's efforts.
Personality[]
While we never see this version of Scorpius ourselves, we're given a good idea of the sort of person he was through his descriptions from other characters. He is the total antithesis of the main timeline's Scorpius, who is a compassionate child with a strong interest in his studies and a lesser interest in sports. This version of Scorpius is sadistic, xenophobic, athletic, and is described as hating books and homework, instead forcing other students to do it for him. He is ultimately the perfect pupil for a headmistress like Delores Umbridge, who holds him in high regard and becomes concerned when the main timeline's Scorpius takes his place.
