Screaming Tom is a minor antagonist in Heroes of Might and Magic IV, Barbarian campaign. He was a thief, criminal and the leader of a bandit gang.
Biography[]
Screaming Tom was the leader of a criminal gang consisting of bandits and pirates. One day they attacked a barbarian villaga, Kilmar and stole a cart of ore. Shortly after the incident, two unknown barbarians arrived in the village. They were Waerjak and his foster father, Tarnum. The goal of the young barbarian was to unite the barbarian clans into one community. The residents of Kilmar could not decide, but then Waerjak offered a deal. He gets back the stolen cart of ore to them and drives out the rogues, in return the village listens to his intentions. The residents accepted the offer. Tom's hideout was on a small island to the East. Waerjak built a ship with several barbarian warriors and his foster father and went to the island. They deliberately set off at dawn so no one saw them and arrived on the island in the morning. Tom and the criminals were asleep. However, Waerjak did not want to become like they were so he blew his horn three times and warned them to return the stolen cart of ore and the leader immediately surrender. Of course, the pirates chose to fight and immediately launched a counterattack. Screaming Tom personally led the attack and fought Waerjak, but the young barbarian was stronger and killed the leader, and his followers had a similar fate. The cart was then returned to the residents of Kilmar, who were very happy and listened to Waerjak’s goal and then joined him.
