Sea Monsters are minor antagonists of the LEGO Nexo Knights franchise, appearing in books but not the TV series. They are a breed of Monstrox's monsters who live in the seas and traverse them on electric eel-powered ships. They eventually abandoned their master and are now leading peaceful lives.
Behaviour[]
As aquatic creatures, Sea Monsters seem to prefer water to dry land. They are able to pilot ships, as well as use electric eels as a fuel source for them. They don't get along with Lava and Forest Monsters, getting into fights with them on any occasion they are nearby, which is why Jestro and the Book of Monsters never release monsters of different kinds in one location.
History[]
It's unknown which books Sea Monsters were trapped in, but they ultimately found themselves stuck inside the Book of Monsters' pages, and were sometimes released to wreak havoc across the kingdom of Knighton.
No Rest for the Heroes[]
"The Book of Hiccups"[]
When the Book of Monsters got the hiccups, he released monsters uncontrollably, including not only Lava and Forest Monsters, but also at least one Sea Monster, namely Sharkerado. Since different types of monsters were prone to infighting, they began to attack not only the village of Bucketon, but also each other, until the Nexo Knights put them all back into the Book and stopped his hiccups.
"Tropical Trouble"[]
One of the Sea Monsters, Behemoth of Brine, disguised himself as a resort island to lure the vacating Nexo Knights into a trap. While they were relaxing, he rose out of the water and attempted to kill the heroes, but they managed to escape.
The Book of Monstrox[]
It's revealed that, similar to their lava-based counterparts, the Sea Monsters gave up on villainy after the Book of Monsters blew up and became the Cloud of Monstrox, each tending to their hobby of choice.
Physiology[]
Most of the Sea Monsters have grey or dark blue skin and yellow eyes, some of them have scales. They resemble fish, octopi, merpeople or other marine creatures.
