The Seacons are a group of antagonists from the Transformers franchise. The original versions appeared in the 1988 toyline.

They are sub-group of Decepticons who can form the combine Piranacon/King Poseidon.

History[]

Marvel Comics[]

The Seacons first appeared in the Marvel UK story "Enemy Action" as a group of Decepticons newly arrived on Earth to construct Decepticon leader Shockwave's underwater base. During the construction work, the base was attacked by future Decepticon leader Galvatron. Shockwave sent the Seacons to intercept them, including combining into Piranacon, but they were defeated. Later, in "Salvage", they assisted Shockwave in retrieving Megatron to use him against Galvatron.

The Seacons made their debut in the Marvel US comic in Issue #47, at the beginning of the Underbase Saga. They were now working for the main Earth Decepticon leader Ratbat, who despatched them to search the ocean floor for a pair of Autobot tapes containing details of the Underbase, a repository of all knowledge about to pass through Earth's solar system. The tapes were initially retrieved by Blaster, but he was forced to abandon them when the Seacons attacked. They made their last appearance in Issue #50, where they were part of a combined Autobot-Decepticon group led by Blaster and Ratbat who defended New York against the Underbase-powered Starscream and were among those destroyed in the battle.

In Marvel UK's Earthforce storyline, Megatron travelled back in time to try and prevent the Seacons' destruction so they would be available for him in the future. He was stopped by Prowl.

Japanese Generation One Continuity[]

In the Japanese Generation One Continuity they are mindless drones save for Turtler being only sentient one among them.
