Sean Larson is a minor antagonist in The Rookie, serving as a major antagonist of Season 7 episode "Three Billboards".
He is a false friend of AJ Knox, former teammate of Officer Miles Penn and is responsible for an attempted robbery to cause AJ's career to tank.
He is portrayed by Chibuikem Uche.
Biography[]
He is a childhood friend of AJ Knox, and he has been his supporter, ever since. When AJ became a football star, Sean became his chief of staff and served as a confidante through his career. However, Sean fell into debt with dangerous people and scrambled to find a way to pay it off, even taking jewelry or other items from AJ, who knew about the jewelry but didn't care. He eventually got in contact with a robbery crew to steal from AJ.
Three Billboards[]
After the robbery crew and cops enter a standoff, Sean's voice spoke to the gathered cops and AJ, stating Miles put him in a bind with his interference. AJ accused him of selling him out, as Sean angrily defended himself by stating he got into trouble and needed money to pay off his debtors and the plan was simple they steal and the robbery injured AJ enough so he'd be out for the season but it went afoul once he invited Miles.
AJ soon spotted Sean's shadow approaching, quickly pushing Miles aside but this caught Sean's attention and he entered but got into a brawl with Miles. The two fell in a pool, where exchanged hits until Miles overpowers Sean and knocks him out, much to AJ's amazement. Sean's crew are wounded by Chen and Juarez before attempting to flee, only to be captured by Nolan and back-up.
