Biography[]
Background[]
Sean McKay was born in Canada and started his business career as a security contractor, and at some point he married an unnamed woman and had children. Despite his marriage, McKay would have numerous mistresses across the globe, and there are hints that he abuses his daughters when he refers to them as "daughter one" and "daughter three". According to his conversation with Rojas, McKay claims that he has made deals and overthrown countless third worlds countries. Due to his business, he came across numerous individuals, such as CIA agent Willis Huntley and weapons provider turned priest Longinus.
Around the 2020s, McKay expanded his business to Yara, where he made a deal with the country's president Antón Castillo to operate the industrial plants in La Joya, El Este. He would also agree to deal with Yara's imports and exports, and build Viviro factories to expand the process. McKay saw a potential in getting more money from Viviro, and agreed with the terms so he could sell it to the highest bidders. Despite his partnership with Castillo, he would have to work alongside Naval Admiral Aña Benítez, whom had a tense relationship with due to his abrasive personality. However, it's implied that Sean is disgusted by the admiral, as he possibly knows of her betraying her family to the regime. The two would often try to undermine each other, but McKay continued to fund Antón's regime while also trying to improve the process of PG-240X. Though he had to deal with his hatred for the admiral, Sean's business was threatened early on due to La Moral, a young resistance group formed by Yelena Morales after witnessing Benítez's cruelty.
Far Cry 6[]
While co-running El Este with Admiral Benítez, their control over the region was threatened by Libertad's newest resistance fighter Dani Rojas, who traveled there to recruit the Legends of '67. Appearing at Admiral Benítez's press conference, he interrupts Aña throughout her speech on dealing with the resistance in El Este. Despite the admiral's determination to crush the resistance, she is killed by Rojas when they attack her island with the Legends and La Moral. After her death, McKay is given full control over the region, and decides to test PG-240X on La Moral's headquarters kills several, including El Tigre and Jonrón.
Rojas and Libertad decided to retaliate by taking down his surveillance system, but McKay appears on his monitor and taunts the guerilla as his soldiers enter. After destroying his security, Libertad destroys his industrial plants, and McKay decides to escape via boat, but he's confronted by Dani. Before Rojas can kill him, McKay explains that he called in Juan Cortez to make a deal to provide Libertad with money in exchange for his life.
Fate[]
If Dani kills him, Juan will be disappointed, but earns the respect of Yelena and La Moral. If Rojas lets McKay escape from the Yara, Sean makes a phone call mentioning Longinus and Willis Huntley, and gives Libertad the money to fund their rebellion.
Alternate Ending[]
If Dani decides to leave for Miami, it's assumed that McKay continued his partnership with Castillo and fund his regime.
Quotes[]
“ | Yeah sorry about being late, I had some stuff with that Yara project I needed to tie up. I'm happy you're late, Willis. It makes me look good. So, I got two ships full of the WMDs and Viviro outta here for you... Yeah. Did it before these kids could stop it. I'll call you again once I'm back Stateside. Could be awhile. Yep... Yep. | „ |

“ | Longinus baby! Where- C'mon, where have you been? You wouldn't believe this, but I'm in Yara, your old stomping grounds, buddy. Now listen, not sure if you're in the "things that kill people" game anymore, but I got some WMDs that you could make use of. You heading back to Kyrat anytime soon? Yeah, yeah, they left a couple days ago. One's going to Saint Jeff island, rest in peace, with a couple young treats in a shipping container for the creep crew. Then some of the WMDs will go to Halifax for my man Stuart and the housecat. No shit! I thought it was a joke that you left the biz... for what? Ah- what- what- ah? You're breaking up... Nope, say that again. ...Uh huh. | „ |
