The Seized Construct is a major antagonist in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. It is a Construct originally built by Mineru that later became corrupted by Ganondorf's demonic influence, transforming it into a wrathful, chaotic being. Fighting by Ganondorf's side, it acts as the Guardian of the Spirit Temple, ensuring to kill those that attempt to get in its way.
History[]
The Seized Construct was originally a prototype Construct built by Mineru sometime before her passing. Initially, she intended to use it as the vessel that would act as her physical body in order to aid Link, but at some point, however, it fell under the possession of Ganondorf and became its unwitting pawn. Tasked with guarding Mineru's Secret Stone, the Seized Construct confronted Link and Mineru (now possessing a new Construct body that she directed Link to build) in an attempt to defeat them. Fortunately for the heroes, they were able to defeat the Seized Construct, allowing them to claim the Secret Stone from its possession.
The Seized Construct is later revived by Ganondorf, alongside with Colgera, Marbled Gohma, Mucktorok, and Queen Gibdo, where they work together to prevent Link and the Sages from reaching to Ganondorf. It is eventually defeated off-screen and later freed from Ganondorf's possession upon his ultimate defeat.
