| ~ Rick's description of the Self-Referential Six. |
The Self-Referential Six are major antagonists in the Rick and Morty episode "Full Meta Jackrick." They are a group of individuals from the metaverse who have various abilities to manipulate the plot of the story.
Biography[]
Their past is largely unknown but they are stated by Rick to be a group of angry nerds who gained meta powers and teamed up together. At some point, they were seemingly rivals of Rick Sanchez and imprisoned Rhett Caan.
In "Full Meta Jackrick", Rick and Morty break into their headquarters with Previous Leon as a hostage. While entering, Miss Lead politely greets Rick then slaps him unexpectedly, saying she could help him. Flash Back then introduces himself and enters Rick's flachback on how to penetrate Rick's forcefield. After this, Connie Tinuity Error makes a bunch of barrels appear so the duo can't run away, though they do end up escaping. Protago Nick then tries to shoot Rick but ends up hitting a security guard named Marvin, who ends up temporarily becoming the protagonist. Unforunately when it cuts back to Rick and Morty they are hit with a smash cut.
Later, they are being held prisoner by Mr. Twist, who informs them that Morty is the sixth member. While he is distracted, Morty makes the grenade in his pocket go off to escape, so they try to follow him.
They are ultimately overpowered by Rhett Caan once he is freed, who ends up breaking Mr. Twists legs and scares the others.
