~ Selmatty to Marge and Homer. |
Selmatty, also known as the Patty and Selma Dragon, is a supporting antagonist in the 2007 video game The Simpsons Game.
It appears in the level NeverQuest (based on fantasy franchises such as The Legend of Zelda and The Lord of the Rings).
It was voiced by Julie Kavner, who also voiced Marge Simpson and Patty & Selma Bouvier in The Simpsons.
Physical appearance[]
The dragon is a two-headed creature, each with Patty and Selma's head on top of a long neck. Its body is green, but its heads are still yellow. It has large wings and talons.
Personality[]
The dragon maintains the same bitterness that Patty and Selma have toward Homer Simpson and his marraige to Marge. They frequently make snide jokes and comments about Homer's appearance and weight (particularly if Homer turns into a Homer Ball).
Biography[]
Background[]
After the Simpsons family learns they must locate four key cards set in four different video games, Homer and Marge agree to find one together in NeverQuest, a fantasy game. As Homer and Marge walk through a village resembling The Shire from The Lord of the Rings, they encounter Rod and Todd Flanders and Ralph Wiggum running for their lives. Homer and Marge see the dragon, convincing the pair they have to save the group of children.
The Simpsons Game[]
The dragon will routinely attack various structures in an attempt to burn it down. However, using Marge's mob-organising abilities, she is able to use the children to rebuild the houses. Whilst doing so, Homer is able to find food and turn into a Homer Ball. Whilst in Homer Ball form, Homer quickly rolls into the dragon, which injures it. Doing so enough times causes it to flee inside a mountain.
The group follows the dragon in, where they encounter it at the last stage of the game. Various creatures support the dragon in trying to kill Homer and Marge, but are stopped by the group. Using the same process, the dragon is then killed and falls into lava. As the dragon sinks, they remind themselves that at least it got them to stop smoking.
Trivia[]
- Selmatty is a parody of Smaug.
