Katsumi Senkouji (千光 寺克美 Senkōji Katsumi) is one of the secondary antagonists of the 2020 suspense manga series, Juujika no Rokunin, serving as the titular main antagonist of the Senkouji arc. He is part of a group of bullies who tormented Shun Uruma in their childhood.

Biography

When Senkouji was young, he and Shun Uruma used to be very great friends. However, after Uruma discovered his true colors, the former decided to cut ties with the latter, causing them to become enemies as Senkouji would join a group of bullies who would torture Shun Uruma. In Senkouji's case, he would tie Uruma up and shoot him with insects in his BB gun, taking a lot of pleasure from hurting the poor boy.

After Uruma switches schools, he and several other boys decided to participate in murdering Uruma's family. Senkouji is seen with Ushiro Yuuga and Kuga Daichi, in which the latter gives Uruma his cell phone for Kyou to tell Uruma that he is about to do something bad to his victim's family. After Kyou attacks Uruma's family, he is not seen afterward until he and Uruma meet each other four years later.

When Kuga continued to belittle Uruma even after all the mess he put him through, Senkouji pleads for him to stop, only to be told to shut up by him. Not long after, Senkouji and Uruma meet each other once again, with the former being as friendly as he used to be before bullying Uruma. He offers to go on an outing with him next Sunday to continue their friendship given the same school that they're attending.

On their outing, as Uruma has doubt Senkouji as to whether he really has changed in spite of all the mess that he put him through, Uruma decided that it is best to give him a chance to prove that he really has changed. During their outing, they have taken photos together, bought clothes from a store, and hung out at a café. At some point, Uruma notices that Senkouji is even crying about something. Because of this, their relationship seems to have improved a lot ever since the incident from four years ago.

At some point, while Uruma was walking somewhere, he happens to eavesdrop on Kuga and Senkouji's conversation over something that the latter regretted before they left.

Later, when Senkouji takes Uruma with him to show him something on his way home, Uruma questions his former bully for his sudden change of heart. Feeling guilty, Senkouji finally apologizes for all the mess that he put Uruma through in the first place, regretting mistreating him to begin with. Suddenly, Senkouji spots a kitten that appeared out of nowhere, saving it from a truck before it hit him and the little animal, causing Uruma to realize that his bully did change. However, as soon as Senkouji said, "It's now", Azuma appeared out of nowhere, grabbing onto Uruma before Senkouji knocks him out.

As Uruma later wakes up, he notices that he and Azuma are tied up to chairs in a small shack. Senkouji later appears to tell Uruma that he always regretted not having killed Uruma when they were in elementary school, even going as far as to choke a kitten to show his true colors as a monster the entire time.

Trivia

• Senkouji is widely considered to be the least evil amongst the other four bullies. Despite being just as irredeemable as them, his actions aren't necessarily as bad compared to the likes of Kyou, Kuga, Madoka, and Ushiro, since Senkouji himself only does animal cruelty as if it was his specialty and only attempted to murder Uruma and Azuma. Additionally, he was outsmarted easily and can be considered weak and incompetent due to his failed attempt.
  • Senkouji is the first one out of the five bullies to be killed and tortured, coming before it was Ushiro and Madoka's time.
• Despite his incompetence in attacking Uruma, being the first villain to lack any redeeming characteristics convinced Uruma enough that the other bullies are just as irredeemable as Senkouji himself, thus showing how much of an impact he had on Uruma's quest for revenge in spite of his one-shot appearance.
